Russell Armstrong

Family WILL Watch "RHBH"

To Protect His Image

9/5/2011 1:15 PM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

0905_housvies_russel_armstrong_getty_exRussell Armstrong's family is watching tonight's "Real Housewives of Beverly HIlls" season premiere with extremely critical eyes -- and is prepared to take legal action ... depending on what they see.

Ron Richards, the attorney representing Russell's parents ... tells TMZ, the family wants to make sure nothing that "would make Russell look bad" airs in the highly anticipated premiere episode.

TMZ broke the story ... shortly before his death, Russell told a friend he was concerned about his negative portrayal on the show. Bravo has said it was doing some re-editing due to Russell's death ... but didn't specifically mention the premiere episode.

Richards says the family will explore legal options if they see something they don't like tonight.

I'm glad the family is monitoring the situation.

After all, we don't want the wife-abuser to get a bad reputation in death.

Where is the evidence Taylor/Shana was beaten by Russell? Why is Bravo subsidizing this scamming con artist Taylor/Shana?

C'mon, this is for ratings. There was never any proof she was beaten. I still say she had bad plastic surgery or over did it on the botox. Funny, no reports were ever filed and where is the proof Camille Grammer got threatening e-mails? None. If she was beaten so bad as she claims how come she only missed a few weeks of work? A beating like she claims, that would take months to heal. Hollywood make-up would not be an option.Infection. The man is dead and can't defend himself. So how easy is this to say about him.

Boy, you sure can see where he got the money-grubbing gene! Jiminy!

I love the threat of "legal action" from lawyer Ron Richards. Hasn't he figured out "reality" shows by now. People usually make themselves look terrible given enough rope.

Well, Texas is the original home of the trailer trash that spawned "Housewives."

I am sorry for his family's loss, but regarding his image--pretty sure that was ****tered awhile ago.

These broads and the production company are going to make a fortune milking this douchebag's death. He should have kept this balls.

If they do sue - (not going to get anything from it) - it's only going to raise the ratings the same way that Italian Heritage Club helped Jersey Shore!

Garbage re the legal options. You can libel a dead guy all you like, and the family has no standing to sue. If they themselves are libeled, that's another story, but they can say this Russell guy slept with sheep, and the producers can't be touched.

Nasious Cordova

So, now it's okay to threaten legal action on TV producers to make someone look like a decent person when they are not? If the family hadn't wanted to have dirty laundry exposed then they should have never signed on to the show. Reality TV is garbage but still it's called reality, not fantasy.

They R all Liars N Grifters

Andy Cohen and BRAVO are sickening. How many times is he willing to "kill" Russell Armstrong for the sake of ratings and money? Bottom feeding opportunists, him and his cast of vaucous airhead dimwit housewives. A Pimp and his Hors.

All the people who watch this show NEED to get a REAL life.

they have no legal case, russell signed on for the show and authorized his rights to have his image on the show. if the family had a problem with his image they shouldve spoke up when he was resigning on for the show.

i agree, he signed a release. Go boo-hoo elsewhere. Family is looking for easy money. So sick of it.
