Russell Armstrong

Family WILL Watch "RHBH"

To Protect His Image

9/5/2011 1:15 PM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

0905_housvies_russel_armstrong_getty_exRussell Armstrong's family is watching tonight's "Real Housewives of Beverly HIlls" season premiere with extremely critical eyes -- and is prepared to take legal action ... depending on what they see.

Ron Richards, the attorney representing Russell's parents ... tells TMZ, the family wants to make sure nothing that "would make Russell look bad" airs in the highly anticipated premiere episode.

TMZ broke the story ... shortly before his death, Russell told a friend he was concerned about his negative portrayal on the show. Bravo has said it was doing some re-editing due to Russell's death ... but didn't specifically mention the premiere episode.

Richards says the family will explore legal options if they see something they don't like tonight.

There was no 2nd suicide. If you listen to the 911 tape, only Taylor and the caller are in the house.

Make sure nothing makes him look bad? Didn't his SUICIDE confirm that he would look bad?! Giving the message to his 3 fatherless children that when things go wrong in life its fine by him to end it. Yeah GREAT role model. The cameras are there to capture day to day life of these people... if you don't want to be portraid as a jerk, maybe you shouldn't act like one.

I have yet to see any evidence that he beat her, just her accusations after his death. I did see her spend $50,000.00 on a 5 year olds birthday, knowing that her husband was in financial dire straights. She might as well have slipped the noose around his neck and kicked the chair out from under him. She is just trying to make herself not look so bad, knowing full well she pushed him to it. It's amazing that any time a woman claims abuse with no evidence at hand everyone believes her. Don't get me wrong any man that beats a woman should go to jail, but this is a slippery skank, who is just trying to stay on t.v.

what a bunch of losers....for money, they promote a television show with a bunch of SKANKS even with a person who has been affected with his own life's death?

This is simply disgusting. Using a man's death for profit.

Anyone associated on any level with this show should feel dirty.

His wife should feel extra pain. If she had any honor she would kill herself too.

Andy Cohen is a s***bag.

Andy Cohen is a colostomy bag filled with feces.

That should make the TMZ automatic word censor happy.

I'm absolutely positive the producers had to re-edit because they didn't put him in a good light. They knew there would be legal issues if they did. And I'm sure his family wants to defend him since he is no longer able to. I bet the mtg with their legal dept. was an interesting one.

HUH...where were they when he was killing himself.Idiots.

Im sure he had a contract with them. So im pretty sure they can do whatever they have been previously doing.

These women - and Bravo - should all be ashamed of themselves. Of COURSE their snarky, bitchy behavior was a contributor to this poor man's suicide, and no pre-show "discussion" will change that. They all now have to live with themselves, including his "widow."
