Soulja Boy

Sgt. Records MAJOR Diss Track

Wants Rapper Banned

9/6/2011 5:00 AM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

Soulja Boy
is drawing fire from the entire U.S. Armed Forces -- and a retired Army sergeant is leading the charge with a rap response to Soulja's controversial song.

Former infantry sergeant and 5 year combat veteran Leo Dunson tells TMZ he recorded the diss track, "Change Your Name" (below) ... after hearing Soulja's "Let's Be Real" -- with the lyrics, "F**k the army troops."

Dunson -- who raps under the name Sgt. Dunson -- says Soulja's song is, "The most ignorant thing I've heard in so long" ... and adds that it's especially offensive with the 10 year anniversary of 9/11 looming.

Dunson says an online petition -- started by a fellow vet -- to get Soulja Boy's music banned from all U.S. military bases is getting support from civilians and all branches of the armed forces.

Now consider this twist ... Dunson and all U.S. troops fight to defend our freedoms -- which includes freedom of speech. So, we gotta ask ...

Leader of the ignorant masses

He has the right to say what he wants. Like it or not free speech is free speech and anything less would not be American. But that goes both ways and we all have the right to speak out against him as well. And i sincerely hope that every soldier out there speaks up against him and hit him where it really hurts, his "music" sales.

Freedom of speech here. Right wing crazies are pissed, QQ some more. We wouldn't have the America we have today without FoS. Army **** need to settle down, the war is a joke and being mad about this is a joke. Now I think Soulja boy may be the worst rapper of all time, but it doesn't mean you army **** get to cry about it.

I am an Air Force Wife, and while I think that the lyrics are stupid, insensitive and honestly a ploy to get attention, he has every legal right to say them. If you don't want your kids to listen to him and you don't want to listen to him, don't buy his music and don't allow your kids too. Most people in the military community aren't going to buy his music anyway, and if the stuff doesn't sell they will pull it from the shelves, getting it banned is unconstitutional and a step in the wrong direction for our country.

you morons in uniform, not only are you stupid enough to not realize that the wars you fight are based on obvious lies to satisfy evil men, but every time someone disagrees with your mindless indoctrination you threaten physical violence? we put trash like you in jail.
you pieces of garbage who claim to fight for our rights?
WAKE UP ****HEADS! SATAN'S GOT YOU

and the rest of USA, how you disappoint me that half of you are just as stupid as the soldiers and the rest of you are too cowardly to tell these idiots just how wrong they are.
Harvey you coward. time to pick a side for the sake of your country

Oh, he has every right to sing what he wants, and we have every right to ask that his album not be sold on post. There's nothing that says the BX has to carry his album and nothing says we have to support. I think if you ask any soldier they would say they agree he has the right to say what he wants - and we have the right to call him a dumbf***.

Freedom of speech isn't protected if the speech is slanderous and seditious, or infringes on the inalienable rights of others. seeing how the armed forces put them selves at the OUGHT most risk and GREATEST sacrifice for our rights, I believe that if they wish to ban "Soulja Boy" from radios on bases - By all mean let them.

I'm no fan of Soulja Boy, but I find it hilarious that most Americans don't realize they are living in a fascist army state. Don't ask questions. Defend your army at any cost. You're not an American if you don't 100% 'support the troops'. No matter if they're out there defending corporate interests or not. "Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain".

I have no respect for this man, and don't listen to his music. However, he has a right to say whatever he wants. It's your choice to listen or not listen, just as it's his choice to say what he wants. Those of you who feel they need to ban / censor what he does, should take some time to read "Fahrenheit 451". That's where you are headed once you start to censor music / books.

So we have freedom of speech, UNLESS you're talking about the military?? Solja Boy sucks anyway, I don't know why anyone was even listening to him (hello... attention seeking is an awful thing and boy has he gotten some). If you don't like it.. don't listen to it, just like EVERY OTHER crappy musician out there. People have made songs about some pretty awful things over decades.. but say something about the military and all hell breaks loose??

First off. Soulja boy is an idiot, we knew that long before this rap. B Second. It's clearly free speech. He wasn't slandering anyone. You can say F-whoever you want, it doesn't really matter. People just get all patriotic if it's about the military. Third. The guy responding with a rap cussing and calling Soulja Boy names hardly represents the military in a good light. A proper response would be no response, because nobody cares about soldier boy and real soldiers have better things to do. The end.

The point is he does have the right to say what he wants, but why would you disrespect those that have fought and died for those rights?

Why, in situations like this freedom of speech is brought up? Nobody is arresting him. Go ahead and say what you want. ITs just that there will be consiquences for what is said. Basically your mouth " FOLGER GIRL " is writing checks your ass cant cash.
