MJ Manslaughter Trial

Dr. Murray's Conduct

"Egregious and Unconscionable"

9/7/2011 9:55 AM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

A prosecution witness will testify ... Dr. Conrad Murray committed  "multiple egregious and unconscionable violations" in his treatment of Michael Jackson the day he died ... this according to documents obtained by TMZ.

Prosecutors filed the document because they want to shoot down the defense theory that MJ may have orally ingested the fatal dose of Propofol.

According to Dr. Steven Shafer, "There is a zero possibility that the propofol was orally ingested."

Dr. Shafer believes, "There is almost nothing in Murray's care of Michael Jackson that reflected the actions of a trained physician."

Judge Michael Pastor has not ruled on whether Dr. Shafer is qualified to testify about the oral ingestion of Propofol.

There is just TOOOOO much genuine evidence against Conny and he is 100% guilty. Her shouldn't get off with prison time. He should get death by lethal injection. How ironic and appropriate would that be eh? Death by lethal injection of Propofol.

It is already explained that it was impossible for Michael to self inject due the position of the needle and set up.
Can defence explain how they think Michael orally ingested propofol?
Propfol come in the bottles, are they saying Michael woke up and took bottle of propofol and drank it?
According to pretrial testimonies, the propfol bottle was inside of the IV bag, so do they think Michael took the bottle out of the bag and drank it, or one more scenario, do they think Michael suck it out of needle?
I fail to understand their logic, all of the scenarios above are not plausible at all. If they are going to try to create reasonable doubt, they will have to explain how Michael drank propofol. I might add that is wasn't only propofol that killed Michael, cause of death is acute propofol intoxication. A contributory factor in the death is benzodiazepine effect.

Defence claim that Murray didn't give anything to Michael that should have killed him. Wrong! If doctor had bothered to use his phone for google propofol (he was too busy using his phone for calling his various girlfriends), he would have found the same as I did:
What happens if I overdose (Diprivan)?
An overdose of propofol is unlikely to occur since the medication is given by a healthcare professional. Your vital signs will be closely watched while you are under anesthesia to make sure the medication is not causing any harmful effects.
(Unfortunately Murray failed this part altogether)

What should I avoid after receiving propofol (Diprivan)?
Propofol can cause severe drowsiness or dizziness, which may last for several hours. You will need someone to drive you home after your surgery or procedure. Do not drive yourself or do anything that requires you to be awake and alert for at least 24 hours after you have been treated with propofol.
(this part refute defences claim that Michael drank propofol. He already received propofol+other meds he would have been groggy, dizzy or drowsy, and he is supposed to think and act clearly how to self inject or drink?)

What other drugs will affect propofol (Diprivan)?
Tell your doctor about all other medications you use, especially:

chloral hydrate (Somnote);
droperidol (Inapsine);
a barbiturate such as amobarbital (Amytal), butabarbital (Butisol), mephobarbital (Mebaral), secobarbital (Seconal), or phenobarbital (Solfoton);
diazepam (Valium) or similar medicines such as alprazolam (Xanax), chlordiazepoxide (Librium), clorazepate (Tranxene), estazolam (ProSom), flurazepam (Dalmane), lorazepam (Ativan), midazolam (Versed), temazepam (Restoril), triazolam (Halcion), and others; or
a narcotic medication such as fentanyl (Actiq, Duragesic), hydrocodone (Lortab, Vicodin), hydromorphone (Dilaudid, Palladone), morphine (Kadian, MS Contin, Oramorph, and others), oxycodone (OxyContin), oxymorphone (Numorphan, Opana), and others.
This list is not complete and there may be other drugs that can interact with propofol. Tell your doctor about all your prescription and over-the-counter medications, vitamins, minerals, herbal products, and drugs prescribed by other doctors. Do not start a new medication without telling your doctor.
(Murray, how many meds do you see on the list that you already gave to Michael?)

How is propofol given (Diprivan)?
Propofol is given as an injection through a needle placed into a vein. You will receive this injection in a hospital or surgical setting.
You will relax and fall asleep very quickly after propofol is injected.
Your caregivers will monitor your heart function, blood pressure, and breathing while you are under the effects of propofol.
(This is the last nail in Murray's coffin and that will put him to jail)

I wish they would STOP saying "MJ Manslaughter Trial", because, it is not his trial. Michael Jackson is not on trial for Manslaughter. Dr. Conrad Murray is on trial for Manslaughter. The same way they can type MJ Manslaughter Trial which is incorrect, they can type Dr. Conrad Murray Manslaughter Trial and be correct. What are they trying to pull by doing this? When we all know that it is Dr. Conrad Murray who is on trial for the Manslaughter of Michael Jackson. As or Dr. Steven Shafer testifying, it doesn't matter whether he does or doesn't. Because, he can not testify as to why the Propofol was illegally there in an illegal setting in the first place. The fact of the matter is, that can not be explained away.

More potential jurors say they know of Michael Jackson death

About 140 prospective jurors gathered Friday for the second day of jury selection in the trial of Dr. Conrad Murray's indicated they had all heard of the case of the physician accused of causing Michael Jackson's death.

The group responded with a titter when asked by Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Michael Pastor. The judge had put the same question to 187 potential panelists on Thursday, who all said they were aware of the case they may be asked to decide.

The jury pool's response highlights the difficulty in the case surrounding the death of one of the most beloved pop stars of all time. Murray's defense attorneys had strongly argued for a sequestered jury to guard from the onslaught of media coverage, but that request was denied by the judge.

Pastor said Friday that what he was looking for was not a jury that was completely in the dark, but one that could be fair and set aside what they already know about the case. He emphasized they will need to carefully avoid outside information related to the case, particularly information online.

Seventy-two jurors have made it through the first day of screenings, and filled out lengthy questionnaires on their backgrounds and opinions to be pored over by attorneys as they select the panel to decide the involuntary manslaughter case.

Murray is accused of causing his famous patient’s death by overdose. He has pleaded not guilty to the charge.

Dose Of Reality

Let me point out to all you stuper fans, Conrad Murray has not been convicted in a court of law, therefore is completely innocent. It's your logic not mine.
I believe he certainly had a part in MJ's death and should pay the penalty for taking the money to give a drug addict exactly what he wanted.

Espero que seja feita justiça e esse médico negligente seja punido pelo o seu erro tão grave. Entendo que não vai trazer a vida de Michael de volta. Mas pelo menos essa sensação de impunidade vai passar.
