Charlie Sheen

Settlement with Warner Bros.

North of $100 Million

9/19/2011 4:59 PM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

Charlie Sheen will immediately get $25 million in his settlement with Warner Bros. in his "Two and a Half Men" dispute -- but over time he'll get 5 times that amount ... TMZ has learned.

Sources connected with the settlement tell TMZ ... Charlie will get the $25 mil in about two weeks and, as we reported, the sum represents the monies owed him for the work he already performed on the series and the profits that have already accrued.

But Charlie has shot around 180 episodes for the show, and in the next 7 - 10 years, the settlement will produce $100 million for the actor in syndication profits.

Not bad when you don't have to show up for work.

So if I read this correctly he hasn't got anything from the studio. They are paying him for work already done and what would be part of his contract for syndication fees. The title makes it sound like he got some kind of settlement like he was talking about where they still had to pay him even though he wasn't working.

OK, so as I already said, Sheen is not "winning" the damages (wrongful termination) part of the lawsuit. Evidently, while some of his die hard fans have yet to get it - or to admit it - Sheen himself realizes that he was fired for cause and why he might be the most welcome person on the 2.5 Men set.

"Sheen had been dropping hints of a pending settlement in his recent publicity interviews, especially the one on The Tonight Show where he defended WBTV’s decision to fire him. “I would have fired my ass, too,” Sheen said. If there hadn’t been a settlement in the works, such statements would’ve given WBTV strong new ammunition in its case as Sheen is suing for wrongful termination while publicly admitting that firing him was the right thing to do. In the same interview, Sheen also admitted that he was “absolutely” out of control last spring when he launched his attacks on Lorre and WBTV."

I guess it pays to abuse cocaine. Saw him yesterday and he has not stopped yet. This only gives him more money to buy.

My family watched two n half men and still watch old episoded. We've all been a fan since it first came out. Charlie was the main character as well as the rest of the cast made the entire show worth watching,he was awesome in the Roast and he took all the roasting very well and comic like. I'm proud of Charlie for doing better and give him kudos for his great disposition. Goodluck Charlie and hope to see you well and in new stuff soon, don't let anyone tell you that your not funny.. Love to ya the Garretts

Go Charlie. Can't wait for Lorrie and Ashton to go down. Plus I don't like the wait Ashton's mother dresses him (hehe)

[Ashton] is really a nice guy. Just a nice guy. And he's OK on set. He gets the job done—that's what we all want."

If you're thinking this a slightly less than glowing review, listen to how another former colleague of Charlie's (who's also still employed by the show), broke it down about Demi's husband:

"He's just not as funny as Charlie. Not that we'd want Charlie back if you doubled our salaries."

You hear that?

The guys (and gals) who were having trouble paying their mortgages during one of Sheen's notorious AWOL meltdowns, do not—repeat—do not want him back.

They are very, very clear about that.
