Paris Hilton

Blows Judge Away in Coke Case

9/20/2011 6:55 AM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

Paris Hilton went above and beyond the call of duty in her Vegas cocaine case -- according to the judge.

Paris' lawyer showed up to a Vegas courtroom today for a progress hearing -- a year after Paris pled guilty to cocaine possession -- and the judge was ecstatic ... claiming Paris was only supposed to do 200 hours of community service ... but clocked a grand total of 228.

Paris also paid $2,000 in fines and successfully completed an "intensive" substance abuse program -- so the case is closed.

On to the next one.

Good for her! I have to say Paris handled the situation very classy. She did what had to do with no problems. Now if only Lindsay Lohan could do the same.

Good for Paris! Although I did get a good laugh out of the poster who said it was only because Paris can't count!

But the many hours of community service and probation period created no headlines and without headlines - no sale.

No sale is not what this country need. We need to party hard in order to forget the present situation.

Now if she was poor and it was crack, she would be doing ten years!

She had less than a gram in her purse (the equivalent of one shake with salt shaker) and she wasn't even driving.

Her ex boyfriend (the driver) got off with only a slap on the wrist for his DUI. Go figure.

Not a fan of anyone in Hollywood but it seems the courts have always treated Pari******on much harsher for a lot less than say Lindsay, or Nicole, or anyone else.

But hopefully, from now on we will only hear about her many businesses expanding.
They create jobs for people and positive news beats negative news any old day.

...And then she fired her assistant for not clocking the hours correctly and making her work 28 extra hours...

Some people are ridiculous. I think it's fantastic that she has cleaned up. I think she'll stay in the good, she learned her lesson. Unlike certain people who can't get clean while being monitored to be clean.

So does she get to "bank" her credit for the next offense?

Wow, Paris "clocked in" 8 hours over, did her "own" version of substance programme and paid her fines. She deserves to be commented for doing what she was supposed to do. Reminds me of the goofy star stuck judge that was falling all over herself praising Chris Brown for doing his "community services"

These judges need a life.
