'X Factor'

Parents Org Goes to FCC Over Dong-Exposing Contestant

"X Factor" ... more like XXX Factor ... if you ask the Parents Television Council -- which is now promising to file a formal indecency complaint with the FCC over the contestant who dropped trou on stage last night.

In case you missed it -- a wannabe singer named Geo Godley whipped out his junk in the middle of his performance on the show ... and it all aired on X Factor. Producers added a graphic to cover the guy's man zone.

But PTC President Tim Winter is furious ... saying, "If Godley performed his act in public, he would have been arrested. But if he performs it in front of a Fox camera, his act is beamed via the public airwaves into every home in the nation."

He adds, "The prolonged, previously videotaped footage of a contestant dancing nude on the ‘X Factor’ stage represents a conscious decision by the producers – with the approval of the network’s broadcast standards department – to intentionally air this content in front of millions of families during hours when they knew full well that children would be watching."

"Families were led to believe the 'X Factor' would be family-friendly programming and instead were assaulted by graphic nudity."

"And while we understand the entertainment hook that comes from the occasional train wreck, something so inherently and patently offensive as this obscene performance is more than a sucker punch; it is a violation of Fox station’s broadcast licenses."

“Finally, the fact that Fox assigned a content rating of TV-PG DL for a naked man frolicking around on a stage is not just inaccurate, it is fraudulent. We call on the amorphous Content Ratings Review Board to immediately investigate this incident and hold Fox accountable for violating the spirit and the letter of the content ratings system, which can only be described at this point as rigged and blatantly inaccurate."

Simon Cowell must be so desperate for ratings that he allowed this douchebag to continue with his lewd act. I don't like Cowell at all, bec. of his arrogance and ****iness. And I hope this show doesn't succeed. He's too full of himself.

I liked how Paula almost dry heaves and the other female host (don't know/care who she is) is horrified like she just saw leather face with a chainsaw. Simon and Co. have sunk to a new low. There is time delay on any live feed and besides, the wardrobe people at the very least would have known what this **** was up to. STill, that was a catchy song he did-HA

If I had warning, then I would not have let her watch.

Wanna a bet that the audience member seen leaving with her baby in tow will sue. What was she doing there with a baby (listening to over 100db of sound) let alone the sexual conotation that's part of every performance. Another whitey trashy lady that will sue-watch it happen.

I take that last comment back. The producers had the camera ready to get coverage of the woman leaving with her baby-bull **** staged. Lots of very obvious staged moments like Paul acting like she will dry heave, the astonishment of the rail thin woman sitting next to her. Simon's bad acting with his hand on face angered and concerned gesture. Simon, don't try to act. Your a master producer etc.. but don't act; it's way to obvious. This whole show was a wrestling match with singers

The PTC can be bought; someone (Simon) has to pay their expenses. Simon wanted the PTC to respond since it carrys on the contraversy. At worst, Simon will get fined-big deal for him right? Fox will get finded part of the cost of production of the show as far as they are concerned. Always assume staged and contrived when it comes to any reality or so called entertainment show like this. All this is so obvious to most that it comes across as pathetic manipulating and desperate ways to get people hooked on the show. My guess is, most of those that saw it-not nearly what Simon and Fox wanted, will not be compelled to watch each week. Maybe once in a while but that's it.

Idol and this show bastardize music that was already really truly bad to begin with. Bring on the Gong Show at least it entertained. Where's Chuck Barris when you need him.

If you don't like it you also can complain. Just go to the FCC website and next to the search bar at the center top of the page is a TAKE ACTION button. this is a copy of mine:

I was lead to believe that this show would be an american idol/america's got talent family friendly kind of program by all the avertisement and hype Fox has put out over the entire summer. So when I tune in, what do I see? Some untaleted pervert who's obvious sole motivation was to get up on stage and Violate the American viewing public by exposeing himself. As if that wasn't bad enough I learn that Fox and the X-Factor had no need to expose us to this. It was prerecorded. The fact that it was and that they used their own Logo to cover the perves junk make them complicit in the PERVERTS' plan to violate the American viewers in prime time when they knew full well Families (CHILDREN) would be watching. This is just another step we are takeing down the road to complete indecency. Any sanctions or fines you take against FOX can not and will not be a strong enough message to them. This ,in my opinion, does not equate with the last major incident that I can remember (the super bowl fiasco which was clearly an accident). This was a deliberate calculated assault through means of sexual perversion and child molestion (you can be charged with this if you knowingly expose a child to sexual images) on the American people in order to generate ratings. This Show should be cast into the abyss of nonexistance and forgotten for all time. Its' producers should be charged with a crime and the network fined into near backruptcy. But I know this report will never reach the hands of anyone who cares. So, I submit it know I at least tried to halt the flow smut that you guys are allowing to infiltrate the TV's of the American public. I think it might be time the leaders there step back and take a look around it might just be time to change to filter because the one we have now is FULL of holes letting all kinds of crap we should not have to be dupped into enduring just for the sake of ratings. Whatever, and the disillusionment American people advances.

To all the people who are saying the parents should have just turned the channel off because it had a PG rating, it isn't that easy. As a parent I want to sit down and watch tv with my family at night. There is so much GARBAGE on tv. Every show has to have a gay character, divorced parent, teens getting pregnant, teens being sexually active, teens smoking, teends drinking, etc. Finally we see a show that is almost like a game show - people sing and try to win money. seems like family entertainment. then that happens. it was uncalled for. just done for ratings. so sad.
also, they opened the contest to kids of 14 years old. So obviously other 14 year olds are watching it. The little girls in the audience were excited when they saw a boy with a Justin Beiber haircut perform. Kids being kids. Then a guy with sick sexual problems comes out and does that while kids are in the audience. Shame on him. Doesn't matter if he was naked or wearing a g-string. Shame on him. If the same scenario was on Dateline, it would have been shown during the 'to catch a predator' segment. If that was in a grocery store where he pulled down his pants to show kids his g-string, he would he 'escorted' out of the store and the authorities would be called.

Funny how Miss High & Mighty Paula is walking around bra-less showing her hot new figure and perky breasts, but she is so insulted by the contestant that she leaves? Give me a break.

Sure, but these people never complain when the same channels broadcast endless murder and torture on television. Please. The hypocrisy is too much. The same people complaining about media aren't doing anything to teach media literacy in their own homes or petition to have it taught in schools, so don't complain. Censorship isn't the answer, education is.

What I don't understand is how they let him continue on the stage??!! As soon as he exposed himself, someone should have called security and escort him out of the studio, to say the least! He can easily get arrested for indecent exposure. X factor is a family show, and it airs in prime time!

Again, the PTC lost credibility with me when they took on WWE and lost a LOT of money.

Not that they had any credibility to begin with.
