Publishers to Casey Anthony:

HELL NO!!!!

10/25/2011 3:45 AM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

Casey Anthony Sad
The NBC producer trying to score a book deal for Casey Anthony may be S.O.L. ... because the biggest names in the publishing biz tell TMZ ... they want absolutely NOTHING to do with tot mom.

We broke the story ... an NBC news producer has contacted literary agents and told them Casey has agreed to do a TV interview with the network if he can lock up a book deal.

But according to the three publishing powerhouses -- that ain't happening ... just check out the statements we received regarding a possible Casey Anthony publishing deal:

Simon and Schuster:  “We are 100% not interested.  We are NOT NOT NOT  interested. Simon & Schuster is not publishing, and has never intended to publish, any book by Casey Anthony, her family, or any member of her team.

Harper Collins: “We are planning on publishing the Prosecutor’s book who was involved in the Casey Anthony case, so we have no plans in releasing a Casey Anthony book.  We’re sticking with the prosecutor.”

Penguin Group:  "We have no plans on doing a book deal with Casey Anthony."

Another publisher went so far as to say, "Hell no ... it's blood money."

So, we gotta ask ...

Someone will give her a deal. Not saying it's right, but that's just the way the world is.

I don't know if she'll ever "seal a deal", but I sure hope she doesn't. Casey needs to go away...for good.

All you need is one minor publisher.

The big ones that are listed above and Random House don't need the money. If you go down to 5th-6th-7th largest there's a few that need money more than they need sales from their minor books. It will be sold but it won't be sold for as much as Casey Anthony wants or from a major publisher.

I do have an issue with this. This entire case has been tried in the media and hast everyone thinking this woman is a killer. Probably the worst mom in the freakin world...but we have no clue whether she's a killer or not. You think she'll be able to get a job at friendlies or McD's? Hell no. I say give her the damn book deal. These pr cks did it for OJ Simpson...why not tot mom? It won't change the fact that someday she'll have to meet her maker. Frankly I'd love to hear her side of the story.

Someone will sign her. I wouldn't but some publisher, who could use the cash and controversy will. How many times do you buy books because it says "Published by Random House"? You buy books for titles. I have a coveted book called "Girl of the Limberlost". Can tell you everything about it, including when it was published (needed to know for free download copyrights) but not who.

Like it or not, she was found not guilty. Personally, if we constrict her, we also label and constrict those who were TRULY innocent and I'd fear exactly what type of society we'd become where putting laws up to catch a few idiots like Anthony would hurt the thousands ruled not guilty every year.

I'm really hoping that ALL of the publishers stick together on this one. Not just the big name publishers, but any publisher out there. Publishing this book would be the same as publishing that book OJ was shopping around "If I did it," or some crap like that. NOTICE TO PUBLISHERS: If you ever publish a Casey Anthony book, you might as well flush your money down the toilet because no sane person will EVER purchase it period.

Any pile-of-garbage, pack of lies, which she manages to get published, will be a worthy candidate for the magnificent O.J. Simpson Library (when he builds it). Two murderers, two books.
Otherwise empty shelves.

I wouldn't buy it any. What would be there to read. A child who was murder by her mother.

I'm sure she'll find a publisher, but probably not a big named one that will give her the money she wants for her bunch of lies. Hopefully, what money she does end up making will go right to the people she owes and she'll be left broke, lonely and scared of the outside world for the rest of her miserable life!

Oh I'm sure she will one day. I mean OJ wrote "If I Did It..." Thankfully for now, everyone sees the injustice that is that trial.

oh quelle suprise... the smart people, like publishing companies want nothing to do with anthony's side of the story because even *they* could understand that she lied her way to trial (something her jury failed to take into account). So why would a book deal be any different? unless her "book" is published and placed in the 'fiction' section, no one cares. most of us were quite happy that she was going into hiding, and hoped to never hear from her again!

Why would anyone want to buy anything of hers. She's only going to say the same things that was said in the trial. She's already plead the 5th in the zenida deposition. She's not going to say anything that would discriminate herself.

She may not score a deal with a major publisher, but I am certain a second tier publisher will take her on since they know they'd make a ton of money and they don't have the reputation to uphold like the big guys do.
