Ultimate Warrior

Wall Street Occupiers Are

iPad-Toting Hypocrites!

11/1/2011 12:30 AM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

Ultimate WarriorWrestling legend Ultimate Warrior just called BS on the hordes of hipsters behind Occupy Wall Street -- telling TMZ, they're a bunch of poseurs, fueling the same corporate giant they're trying to take down.

In an ultra-rare appearance in full make-up, Warrior -- real name Brian Hellwig -- tells us, "I find it a little ironic that most of these kids own iPads and iPhones and all these material things. They're a big part of the consumerism that goes on in this country."

Warrior adds, "The biggest statement you can make is not to participate in the consumerism of it all. Don't buy the stuff. Start living your own life. Practice what you preach."

We never thought we'd say this, but the man's got a point.

I think she id divorcing because he will not be making any money this year and she will have to support him. I think that is so sad. What ever happened to your vows for sickness and health and richer for poorer! That does not apply to the Kardashians I guess! So sad that you only give your marriage 2 months!!!!

My question is 'did Crazy Jim stop there or are you just not including the rest?' Our good pal War-yah isn't known for concise and coherent sound-bites. Oh, he'll toss out a good point or two now and then, but not long after, he's talking in the third person and condemning gay people for long, protracted, spittle-flecked paragraphs.

That aside, he makes a good point. Rather than making a giant smelly public spectacle of yourself, use your power of purchase to affect the changes necessary. That's how capitalism works. If I don't like what a company does (and Curves is a prime example, as I don't like their owner's politics), I don't spend my money on that company. End of story.

He doesn't really have a point. Consumerism isn't the problem. There can be consumerism and there needs to be consumerism. The onus is on the American economic players to return the service to the consumers by employing them and not screwing them over. Yes, there were a lot of stupid people who bought themselves senseless, but the fact that that was even possible shows there is a huge problem in the system. Mortgage lenders didn't care because they just sell the mortgages right away and don't have to worry about collecting. Credit card companies want people to be in debt because that means more interest they get to collect. Banks want to charge people for using their own money. None of this has to do with what products people buy or that they buy them. The problem is much deeper than that. The media has no reason to support this movement because they are all tied to such corruption. I'm not surprised that no one is accurately covering the issue. For more, read Howard Zinn.

#OWS is about ending corporate control of our political system. The bankers own the ALL politicians. If you can't see that by now then there is no hope for you. Do some research and quit ridiculing people for finally protesting for what all Americans should have done in 2008.

T. Bag Jones

They're protesting corporate greed and the government spending of tax dollars to feed that greed. If you want news coverage check out CNN...not some bull**** wrestler on TMZ.

Fidel Sarcastro

I hate to say it, the man has said so many far off outlandish things in his life, has been seen by many people as a giant douche but in this case he is right on the money.

I won't say that all of them are like this but there is a good percentage that is protesting for no other reason than its fashionable and "cool". They don't as much want attention for their cause but just attention for themselves, that coupled with a need to feel like a rebel. its the same sort of mentality behind a kid whose parents pay his or her way to college and then rebels and called his parents "Sellouts" and "Part of the System" all the while getting that education because of the money his parents earned working and being productive members of society.

Wow, good thing this guy (and TMZ) were not around when women were out demonstrating for their right to vote or when African Americans were fighting for civil rights. This is about economic oppression and rights for 99% of the country/world.
To this idiot and also the people at TMZ who wrote this article...have you even been to your local Occupier camp? Been to their very democratic (little d not big D) General Assembly (GA) meetings (you can go to each Occupy movement's facebook or website to find the times). If you decide to speak up make sure you "get on the stack" to take your turn in line of speakers. Translation for those who are dumb enough to speak out about a group they know nothing about that means you hand in a piece of paper with your name and what you want to talk about and when you name is called, it is your turn to speak. You will then be handed the megaphone to speak your mind.
How can someone who has never been to a GA, been to their local camp, met or spoken to Occupiers or their supporters, participated in any of the demonstrations or marches, think for even a second that they can speak up about the cause or it's supporters?
How much space on your website have you spent talking about Marine Scott Olsen who was assaulted by the Oakland police as he was with Vets for Peace at the peaceful Oakland gathering? Or how the Oakland police then shot at the people who were trying to HELP this young vet as he lay bleeding from a massive head injury (he is now in the hospital unable to speak because of the brain trauma). Go LOOK for the upclose online video of these rescuers being shot at simply for trying to help this man as he lay at the feet of the riot-dressed/arm police line.
Maybe with any luck, the Occupy L.A members/supporters will end up outside your TMZ studios. Let me help you with the chants (as they are the same worldwide/nationwide).."Show us what democracy looks like! THIS is what democracy looks like" "Who's streets? OUR streets! Who's city? OUR city! Who's state? OUR state". They get repeated over and over so you will eventually learn the words, even the slowest amongst you.
As I sit here and smh at you guys, I realize you have to defend the 1% (megamillionaire celebs and athletes and such)...without them you would not have your jobs. If you can make time for idiots like Michael Lohan, why not take some space and report about those injured/assaulted at these peaceful demonstrations. You have reported heavily on the fan assaulted at that Dodger game. Yet not a single report about the police brutality (Marine Scott Olsen) or arrests (800 on the Brooklyn Bridge, remember that?) going on around this country.
Oh, and you know how the big banks recently agreed to NOT charge people a monthly $5 fee to use their debit card? Probably need to go thank an Occupier/99%er..we have fought hard to shed light on the misdeeds of these banks, struggled to get the message into the mainstream media, and what do you know...we succeeded and have saved you a $60.../year bank fee. You're welcome.

Actually, his legal name IS "Warrior". He used to be Brian Helwig.

He's been several cards short of a full deck for a long time now. Maybe too many blows to his head during his wrestling days.
