Dr. Murray Trial

Defense Strikes Back

'Dr. Murray Did Not Kill MJ'

11/3/2011 2:30 PM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

110311_murray_still

Dr. Conrad Murray's defense attorney, Ed Chernoff, came out firing at the prosecution in his closing statement ... telling the jury, "They want you to convict Dr. Murray for the actions of Michael Jackson ... they just don't want to tell you that."

Chernoff was direct, "Dr. Murray did NOT kill Michael Jackson" ... claiming it was Michael Jackson who killed Michael Jackson by self administering himself with prescription medication.

Chernoff claims the prosecution failed to prove that Murray hooked MJ up to a Propofol drip before the singer died ... and without a drip, there is no way the prosecution can prove Murray ever put MJ's life in danger.

"They can't prove a crime ... and they REALLY need to prove a crime" ... Chernoff said.

Chernoff claims the most logical explanation is ... "Michael Jackson went into his personal bathroom and swallowed Lorazepam and Dr. Murray didn't know."

He added, "Somebody's got to say it ... If it were anybody else but Michael Jackson ... anybody else, would this doctor be here today?"

Chernoff might be feeling the the heat ... he just drank a glass of water and quipped, "Is it warm in here or is it just me?"

He concluded by asking the jury to take their decision seriously ... saying, "This is not a reality show, this is reality ... I hope that you do the right thing and find Dr. Murray not guilty."

Dr. Conrad Murray's defense attorney, Ed Chernoff, came out firing at the prosecution in his closing statement ... telling the jury, "They want you to convict Dr. Murray for the actions of Michael Jackson ... they just don't want to tell you that."

Answer: Murray should be convicted of killing a man in cold blood, tampering with evidence, removing evidence, and lying to authorities. Murray should be convicted of first degree murder!

Chernoff was direct, "Dr. Murray did NOT kill Michael Jackson" ... claiming it was Michael Jackson who killed Michael Jackson by self administering himself with prescription medication.

Answer: If this were true, why in the world was Murray removing evidence, lying to police, and withholding vital information from his colleagues at UCLA Med? Also why bring a doctor on board to self administer your own medication managment? Why have security call a nurse 3000 miles away if you plan to self administer your own medication? The entire defense strategy has been heavily soiled with lies. I just want to hear what crap they come up with next.

Chernoff claims the prosecution failed to prove that Murray hooked MJ up to a Propofol drip before the singer died ... and without a drip, there is no way the prosecution can prove Murray ever put MJ's life in danger.

Answer: I guess it was the elephant in the room that hooked up the IV drip. Michael Jackson wouldn't lift a finger to get his own breakfast....let alone hooking up an IV drip. Unless Chernoff can provide the names of the culpritz who entered the home other than murray..........Murray did it.

Otherwise, Murray is a damn fool to remove evidence, lie to authorities, withhold medical information from hospital staff, and stockpile all that propofol so that Michael Jackson could set up the IV drip personally. Not to mention making AEG look like total fools to pay someone 150k per month to change oxygen tanks and bring michael jackson his granola and carrot juice every morning.................LOL!! next!

"They can't prove a crime ... and they REALLY need to prove a crime" ... Chernoff said.
Answer: The official ruling is HOMICIDE!!!! A crime was committed and no one was allowed upstairs other than your's truly conrad the murderer. The defense cannot prove anything with he exception that they are as desperate and sardonic as murray.

Chernoff claims the most logical explanation is ... "Michael Jackson went into his personal bathroom and swallowed Lorazepam and Dr. Murray didn't know."

Answer: why would Michael call Murray to the home at 1:00am (yeah yeah) only to go into his personal bathroom and take medications without Murray knowing it? Chernoff is nothing short of a merryandrew fool on this one!!!

Besides I don't care if Michel took a bottle of pills, it's still not a defense for Murray.

If Murray did not set up the IV drip what sense did it make to call murray for anything in the first place?............

(Murray did get michael's dinner, michael took his medication without murray knowing it, murray did not set up the IV, no proof murray was doing anything really. he just came over at 1:00am because michael complained of dehydration and did nothing...........except clean the crime scene, remove evidence, failed to call 911, called a few of his hootchies, lied to authorities, withheld information from the EMTs and hospital, hide out for a few days.........If murray didn't set up the IV drip.........that means murray simply injected michael anywhere he felt like it (arms, legs, chest, and killed him in cold blood).

He added, "Somebody's got to say it ... If it were anybody else but Michael Jackson ... anybody else, would this doctor be here today?"

Answer: The murder trial would most likely not be televised and the world wouldn't know the name Chernoff. Otherwise the doctor would get away with killing someone who's not famous.

Chernoff might be feeling the the heat ... he just drank a glass of water and quipped, "Is it warm in here or is it just me?"

Answer: It's not easy being a liar nor defending one.....

He concluded by asking the jury to take their decision seriously ... saying, "This is not a reality show, this is reality ... I hope that you do the right thing and find Dr. Murray not guilty."
Answer: Hoodahail you think your foolin Chernoff? Murray is a liar and a killer. There's nothing you can say or do to ever excuse Murray's conduct. Nothing.

Saw the whole thing. Murray is guilty of reckless endangerment that caused the loss of a life, made more egregious since he's a doctor and sworn to not do such things. Defense failed to show any reasonable doubt about him being the deterimant factor in the death. Someone who buys a gun (Propofol) and leaves it out on the counter (bedroom) and a kid picks it up and kills himself (Jackson) can be found guilty of manslaughter. End of Line

(Murray did NOT get michael's dinner, michael took his medication without murray knowing it??? murray did not set up the IV?? no proof murray was doing anything really. he just came over at 1:00am because michael complained of dehydration and did nothing????...........

repeat: Michael Jackson wouldn't lift a finger to get his own breakfast. Yet he calls a cardiologist at 1:00 am complaining of insomnia and dehydrated and feels the need to take charge of his own health care to set up the IV drip personally and leaves the room to take medication w/o the doctor knowing about it?

btw: LOL!!!! Murray is guilty. Chernoff is a RIOT!!!!...
A Scream! That closing argument by the defense was a boatload of comedic, illogical, decimating "Bull-Stool"!!!

Even if MJ took the medication himself, Murray made it accessible by leaving it in the room (knowing MJ was an addict). As a doctor he had a responsiblity NOT to administer the drug outside of a hospital setting OR leave it in the room for MJ to take himself. This is so common sense that it is laughable. And Chenoff keeps trying to muddy the waters by saying MJ killed himself. I hope that jury is smarter than Casey's jury or this guy will walk free too.

There were 2 people in the room when Michael Jackson died (well, probably only one ) but Murray was pumping Michael Jackson full of propofol and Michael Jackson died of accute propofol overdose. Tell me, who is responsible?

I agree with the defense Michael wanted the damn medicine its his fault. Its the same as a junky overdosing they don't go out and round up all the drug dealers and lock them up. If it was me and Michael paid me 100,000 I wouldn't stuck his ass to he knew what he was getting himself into. When its your time to die your going to die anyways whats the big deal. He died of a overdose stop wasting tax payers money over a trial

I disagree, if this was anyone else but Michael Jackson this Dr would have already been found guilty.

If it were You or I, under the same cir****tances, the DR would lose his license and be held accountable for providing and admininstering the drugs that you/I o.d. on.

Im not saying the man needs to go to jail, no. But he needs to permanently lose his license, and have a criminal record for his actions.

The consequences of his actions are his own doing, for trying to turn a profit off of a drug addict. NO Dr should ever encourage a drug user to use. And if he was oooh so concerned about Michaels Health instead of hs own wallet, he would have made sure Michael got treatment and not worry about how big his own wallet was.

I don't think any of the medication was "prescribed" as the defense stated. Can you really get a prescription for propofol??

Memory

I don't think he "murdered" MJ - Michael Jackson was a long-time drug addict and had numerous other "problems" also (5'10" and 112 lbs, bad eating habits, etc.). Dr. Murry should go free, as he did not kill MJ - MJ killed himself with his additions.

Ed Chernoff is an amazing attorney with a stellar record; he knows what he's doing, and there will be no criminal conviction of Dr. Murray.

Chernoff is great at his job. I wish he had done more of the questioning as opposed to Flanagan.

Walgren works my last nerve, and I'm sick of reading about how "hot" he is. He's just average to me, and his looks don't matter in this trial at all.

HOW CHERNOFF SIDESTEPS THOSE PHONE CALLS.. even e arlier in the morning-- bec HE C ANNOT JUSTIFY IT! right t here-- it debunks what Murray told police-- Michael couldn't sleep..

meanwhile.. IF INDEED MICHAEL INJECTED HIMSELF & DIED INSTANTLY? HOW COME THE SYRINGE WASN'T FOUND IN HIS VEIN.. oh by the way-- isn't said MJ had so many dead veins.. it was heard to find one? so how can he find one instantly to inject himself with this lethal dosage?(let's not forget he was also attached to a penile catheter) why weren't there empty vials next to him? IF HE DIED INSTANTLY?! duh..

I tell you-- IT BETTER BE GUILTY.. meanwhile.. looking at Chernoff's mug as HLN replays his closing.. I want t o punch him.. as what he's doing are all LIES!
