Penn State Trustees

Reportedly Ask New Coach

to Keep McQueary Off Sidelines

11/10/2011 2:15 PM PST BY TMZ STAFF

The Penn State board of trustees have reportedly asked new head football coach Tom Bradley to keep Mike McQueary from coaching from the sidelines on Saturday ... out of fear for McQueary's safety.

According to Pennsylvania's Morning Call newspaper ... the board does not plan to fire McQueary or ask him to step down.

McQueary is the person who claims he witnessed Jerry Sandusky raping a pre-teen boy in the Penn State locker room in 2002 ... and reported it to Joe Paterno.

While JoePa was fired for failing to contact police -- McQueary still has a job, despite the fact he also didn't call cops ... and worse yet, he didn't try to stop Sandusky from raping the boy when he had the chance.

It's unclear if Coach Bradley will pull McQueary from the sidelines on Saturday ... or have him coach from the skybox ... or instruct him to simply stay home.

I get why JoePa had to go. But let's be clear. This is where it all started. It should have never made it to JoePa or the PSU administration. Once McQueary witnessed this, he should have done something to stop it IMMEDIATELY.

Bottom Line

This is DISGUSTING! They are going to hide and protect McQueary during the game and Penn State admis did ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to protect the children?

If someone witnesses a crime and doesn't report it can't they be charged as well? Or is there a statute of limitations in this type of case? Regardless, McQuery is just as low as the offender. He needs to go! It is a slap in the face of the victims to keep him there.

they are vile

So now the Board is just as corrupt as these other cowardly vile men. As for the students and their beloved school - stop thinking of yourselves! This is not about you nor your football games! It is about children being raped and their lives being ruined. Why don't you make that your only focus and stop whining about yourselves.

Question: Is this a Clery Act Violation?

Everyone who knew about the sexual abuse and didn't follow thru to stop it should all be prosecuted as an accessories to a felony just as an accessory to a felony murder. Question – with sexual abuse is there a murder of a psyche.

The students and others joining in at Penn State are reacting on emotion and personality popularity. Or, they just want an excuse to party their way. These students and others joining in, are not rationally thinking thru what actually happened as witnessed first hand - sexual abuse of children.

I wonder how these students would feel if it was their son or daughter or family member who was sexually abused!!!!!!!

In speaking with several survivors of sexual abuse, they tell me the memories never go away, nor does the anger and frustration and lack of trust.

OMG! I'm about to have a meltdown! First, the Trustees said McQueary will coach Sat, but now they're asking that he not do it from the sidelines out of FEAR for HIS safety... So he'll be coaching...hiding...in the booth instead. WTF?! Really??? I can't remember the last time something provoked such an emotional response in me...he should have been the FIRST fired... but he still stays. HE SAW IT AND WALKED AWAY. Period. And now everyone...the students at Penn State... are talking about 'honoring' the victims, yet they're refusing to take a stand and demanding McQueary be fired ...Really?... Really? If they want to REALLY honor the victims..not only should the students refuse to go and cheer on a game under these cir****tances... especially with McQueary there...but the PLAYERS should honor the victims by refusing to play. HE SAW IT AND DIDN'T STOP IT. Take a fricking stand for crying out loud. And if the Trustees don't have the balls to fire you, McQueary...step down. Just Do It.

They fire Joe Paterno for simply 'hearing' about the assault and not doing enough, but they retain McQueary even though he SAW the attack happen and did the same thing Paterno did (report it to his superior). If Paterno had a 'moral obligation' then McQueary had the same obligation (if not more since he actually witnessed it). Something is rotten, rotten, rotten - they ALL need to go. Clean house and start all over (including the Board of Trustees who are condoning this crap). The students need to take a stand and stop being 'sheeple'. Right is right and wrong is wrong - I fear for our future.
