Conrad Murray

I Was Trying to "Tip"

MJ Into Sleep When He Died

11/12/2011 6:50 AM PST BY TMZ STAFF

Conrad Murray claims he was only trying to "tip" Michael Jackson into sleep when he gave him a "tiny bit" of Propofol the morning MJ died -- and it's the first hint at what the doctor might have said on the stand.

Murray went into stark detail about June 25, 2009 during the documentary "Michael Jackson and the Doctor: A Fatal Relationship" ... which aired on MSNBC.

In the documentary, Murray says he eventually gave in to Michael begging for "some milk" ... Propofol. Murray says he thought ... "If I give him just a tiny amount of Propofol ... 25 milligrams, slowly infused, I may just tip him into sleep ... and the other medications will now get a chance to work because he had a fair amount of medication on board."

According to Murray's recorded interview with police -- two days after MJ's death -- he had already pumped MJ with sedatives -- Valium, Lorazepam, Midazolam -- but the singer was still unable to fall asleep.

in the docu, Murray claims it was the other drugs -- not the Propofol -- that "overwhelmed" Michael. Of course, Murray also gave MJ those other drugs ... at least according to what he told police.

Maybe not testifying was for the best.

Grace Rwaramba said that Michael would often receive large sums of money. That could have been the case here.

Given the fact that I agree he did not act as if should have, we must look at the facts that concern Michael. Even his parents stated that Michael had a drug addiction and were planning an intervention for him; it was stated in numerous magazine and news articles. I also agree that Dr. Murray was an enabler. He should have told Michael no, enough is enough. If Michael had such great problems sleeping, then he himself should have reached out for help from a sleep clinic or sleep doctor. Instead he reached for drugs. He had a problem with the quick fix. We must not always look to the doctors who enable the patient. Michael is not a victim. He knew he had a problem; all addicts know they have a problem. The first step to any recovery is admitting that problem. He did not want help. Look at any other high profile person. How many of these people had addictions to drugs? We read too many times about famous people dying do to accidental over-doses or flat out suicides by the use of drugs. Why do we make it so easy for the famous to get their hands on drugs and allow them to mix the deadly ****tails? I have noticed that a good majority of these deaths are because of the "need to sleep", mixing death ****tails with Ambien and other sleep medications. Why do we as a society place so much emphasis on keeping up with famous? Why do the famous feel they owe so much to us as fans to push them to these lengths? Anna Nicole Smith, Heath Ledger, Michael Jackson, etc. Luckily Britney has a good dad who stepped in and took "custody" of her and look how well she is recovering. What about Lilo? We, the judges, the doctors, us public, etc., allow this behavior. In fact we are so overwhelmed by it, we follow it day by day. It gets national attention, but always ends the same way. We also need to learn to seperate the "famous" out of the person. I still believe too many times this has probably happend in our nation/world and it goes unseen, because the others dying from these situations aren't famous. Really, if it was anyone else other than Michael Jackson or any other famous name, would we see it on the news? Would we be concerned for that person who died? Would that doctor get a manslaughter case?

ah.. let's look at t he bright side:.. having this shown so early on.. it will bury him at sentencing..

what's more-- if they were dithering.. now, without a doubt.. his medical licenses in Vegas & texas will be permanently revoked!

his insurance company is already balking paying hiiis defense-- now, they have more grounds to contest paying it! which means.. this trial will bring him to SKID row.. & it's only the beginning. as he'll have other civil lawsuits to contend with.

Murray REALLY Isn't smart-- babbling as he did.. it can all be used against him for civil.. boy! I bet Joe Jackson can't wait..

most of all.. even if he only spends 2 yrs in prioison? ha.. for someone like Murray & his ego? hell.. that'll be like 100 yrs & after all this babbling? no one will be interested in him! he won't have anything to 'sell'!

Any "doctor" talking about tipping someone to sleep in a home setting with Propofol is not a doctor, but a quack. Murray is exactly where he deserves to be.

yawn, thank you tmz anyway for letting me know. Now, I doubt that this guy even has a medical licence. We have never seen it. Not sure why I am following this, because I am not in a habit to trust anything that comes from Hollywood. I still have sympathy for the Jackson family, because their departed relative deserves a fair trial, Hollywood man or not. There was so much sloppy job that it is hard to believe. And running of that Murray do***entary seems out of place.

When will Michael Jackson be held responsible for the part he played in his own death?

Well, for starters - he's dead. That's the price he paid.

Conrad Murray admitted in that do***entary that he killed Michael Jackson after experimenting on him. I don't understand how some people are still defending that guy?
