Penn State

Fans Unite with MASSIVE Chant

11/12/2011 9:50 AM PST BY TMZ STAFF

Echoing their brand new President Rodney Erickson, hundreds of Penn State fans pumped themselves up in the stands today ... chanting, "WE ARE .. PENN STATE!"

As we previously reported, Erickson released a video statement yesterday, claiming the University "must move forward" despite the child abuse scandal.

Erickson signed off with the school's infamous motto ... reminding students, "We are Penn State."

This cheer is done at all Penn State events. It has nothing to do with what is going on. The fans are cheering on the players, who have nothing to do with any of the allegations. They are kids trying to play a football game.

Yes, by all means take pride in being from an institution that enables pedophiles to rape little children.

What an appalling slap in the face to all of Sandusky's victims. Penn State didn't protect them and now they're being marginalized.

I don't know what the hell is wrong with the school administration and the students. They seem to have no moral compass whatsoever.

They should have been chanting "We care more about $72 million in football revenue than children getting raped". The truth can always been found by following the money.

Another pedophile sex scandal that will be swept under the rug after a few scape goats take the fall. Past "victims" will come out of the wood work from the smell of money. Then the dust settles and the cycle continues. Powerful men will continue to seek out vulnerable boys, many of whom are only to willing to participate in order to maintain their status and reap the materialistic rewards of gifts, money and perhaps even emotional needs. We are all born sexual human beings and with today's sexualized environment being shoved in the face of our youth by modern society has created youth well beyond the age of "innocence." So I caution the use of the label "victim" and take our hypocritical heads out of the sand. Rape is still rape, and no still means no, please don't misunderstand me, I am not condoning the Penn State scandal, I am generalizing the broader issue, I believe that the facts be the facts and the blanket term of "rape" be applied on a case by case investigation. One size fits all "Age of Consent" laws need to be reevaluated in modern society's sexual world.

Yes, you are Ped State - are what a great thing to claim to be today as more allegations surface - even more Ped State officials knew about the rape and molestation, and more victims contacted have contacted authorities this week...

And for all those who say this has nothing to do with football, you are correct.

But it has EVERYTHING to do with the Ped State Football revenue machine.

They SHOULD be CHEERING for an INVESTIGATION into the disappearance of Pennsylvania prosecutor, RAY GRICAR, who was investigating PENN STATE in 1998 for criminal behavior.
GOOGLE Ray Gricar.

PENN STATE appears to be perpetual dimwits with deviant behavior acceptance. Are you kidding me?

C'Mon! I am an alum. The Players in this game have NOTHING to do with the scandal.
Here's how it really is:
WE ARE...Not closing our eyes, ignoring reports, pretending this isn't a wretched occurrence.
WE ARE...Grieving with the families and the victims.
WE ARE...Angry that innocents would be violated under our care.
WE ARE...In support of appropriate punishment for every person involved.
WE ARE...Demanding change to a system that would allow this.
WE ARE...Hard working student athletes in many sporting events with NO connection to former events.
WE ARE...Over 94,000 students strong
WE ARE...Ranked among the top 15 public universities.
WE ARE...Over 8,500 top ranked faculty.
WE ARE...More than 2 university officials and 2 athletic department members.
WE ARE...NOTconcerned if you do not understand our love and devotion.
WE ARE...More than this scandal.
WE ARE...Penn State, and we have ALWAYS been more than just a football team.

You know what have been better? Of lieu of their usual chant, they decided to observe 40 seconds of silence.

I want to thank Penn State students who seem exceptionally brainwashed for so clearly and loudly, identifying the problem. One can only hope these college student can get some smarts and begin to look to the solution. Because right now, it ain't them. They only look like morons.
