Conrad Murray Case

D.A. Wants Doc to Pay

More than $100 MILLION!!!

11/24/2011 12:43 AM PST BY TMZ STAFF

1123_conrad_murray_bn_doc
Prosecutors in the Conrad Murray manslaughter case are asking Judge Michael Pastor to order the doc to pay Michael Jackson's children more than $100 million for their loss.

According to new court docs filed by the D.A., Michael Jackson's kids are "entitled to wages or profits lost due to injury incurred by the victim."

Prosecutors say MJ's 3 kids are victims under the law, and are entitled to restitution from Dr. Murray ... which include wages, lost profits and funeral expenses.  The D.A. cites a letter from the MJ Estate, estimating Michael would have made $100 million in revenue from the "This Is It" tour.

As we first reported, the D.A. is also seeking the maximum punishment -- 4 years in State Prison.  The D.A. says they are seeking the max because Murray was "risking Mr. Jackson's life every night" by administering Propofol.  And the D.A. says, MJ was a "particularly vulnerable victim."  And the D.A. says, Murray lied and covered-up his crime.

wtf, where I come from you don't get paid for losing a family member. Everyone has trials. They don't need money that is just ridiculous. I would suggest therapy. That makes more sense. This is earth people. What planet do these celebrities live on! they sue for everything. If i sued anyone who made my life way harder or hurt me emotionally I'd be rich myself. Earn an honest living, people. You cant sue someone bc they cheated on you, or made you look bad in public, or did something like this. stupid hollywood. I wonder how they would feel to be a normal person that didn't get paid just to type something on twitter or to show up at an event or lose a loved one. if i could do something about it, i'd shut the whole system down. i hate the world i live in.

Seems bogus to me, his executors have made a KILLING (pardon on the pun) on his death and have admitted as much.
He was deeply in debt and by dying his estate is rapid approaching being worth half a billion dollars and is essentially debt free.

Who does this D.A. work for the people in the State of California or the Jackson's. Now how many other children of dead junkies do you think this DA has sought reimbursement for their loss for. I would say none. I guess the moral of the story is its only the rich kids of dead junkie celebs that suffer losses.

ok do you guys understand - whenever there is a crime the DA always ask for compensation for the victims - in this case walgreen is going to ask for max prison time and max money - even though they won't get near that much, but the compensation is a much stronger verdict than joe trying to sue, in fact now joe jackson won't be able to sue conrad murray at all so he won't get a dime - this is a very smart move on walgreens part, it will make sure murray will never practice medicine in america again

The Estate (and all the leeches sucking money) has made more money since he killed himself than they would ever make if he had failed on his infamously not done tour.

Interesting how this article dumps all the claims against Murray on the DA ("The D.A. says they are seeking the max because Murray was "risking Mr. Jackson's life every night" by administering Propofol. And the D.A. says, MJ was a "particularly vulnerable victim." And the D.A. says, Murray lied and covered-up his crime.") These facts were confirmed in Murray's involuntary manslaughter trial. Murray has been convicted by a jury of his peers of risking Michael Jackson's life nightly, and of lying and covering up his crime. Murray was convicted of multiple points of gross medical negligence in his (lack of ethical) treatment of Michael Jackson. The DA also is not claiming that Michael's children are entitled to anything. They are entitled according to law. It would be nice if media reporting were done, about anybody, without always trying to put a spin on it.

I think with the trial, jail, the bad fame, the hate from most of the world, losing his license and his income has been enough to make Murray suicidal! I knew that a lawsuit for malpractice would come, but this is ridiculous. I'm sure The Jacksons don't need to sue Conrad Murray for any amount of money. What they need is to concentrate in healing.
