'Pawn Stars'

Head-Hunting for NBA Players

11/23/2011 12:20 AM PST BY TMZ STAFF

Pawn Stars
The guys from "Pawn Stars" have a job opening at their famous Vegas shop ... and they're looking to hire someone who really needs the cash right now ... someone who's out of work  ... someone who can hit a turn around jumper from 25 feet away.

TMZ has learned ..."Pawn Stars" honcho Rick Harrison is adamant that he wants to help a struggling, talented, out-of-work NBA player earn a paycheck during the never-ending lockout.

We're told the job would require the baller to work the counter just like everyone else in the shop. As for salary -- we're told Rick will work out the details depending on who applies for the gig.

Chum Lee -- who also stars on the show -- tells TMZ he's hoping Rick can pull in a Lakers player ... especially Metta World Peace ... but relents, "If there aren't any players who take us up on the offer, I'm hoping some cheerleaders come down for the job!"

If he has a job opening, why is he giving it to one of these idiot spoiled players who have made millions? Everyone and their granny knew this strike was coming, so they SHOULD have saved a few bucks from last years salary. Why not give the job to someone in Las Vegas who has been laid off and hasn't been able to find a job for a year or two. Not someone who isn't working because they are on strike? I love the show, but this is a HORRIBLE idea.

How about you give the job to someone who actually needs it and not NBA player who makes millions.

Enigma

There was a time when I would watch this show - but after this story - no more. Would have been nice to see a small story that they hired someone really deserving of a job. Las Vegas has so many people that have lost jobs and homes - the thought of them hiring someone who has no need really gets me upset -
Maybe we should give them a call: 702-530-4959
