Tim Tebow

God Is Saving the Broncos

... Says Colorado Pastor

12/12/2011 10:45 AM PST BY TMZ STAFF

Tim Tebow and Pastor Wayne Hanson
Broncos QB Tim Tebow is winning games because of God, pure and simple ... this according to a pastor at a Colorado church with ties to the Tebow family.

Pastor Wayne Hanson -- who runs Summit Church in Castle Rock, CO where Tim's dad often speaks -- tells TMZ God is actively intervening in Denver Broncos football games ... and aiding Tim on the field because of his strong faith.

Hanson tells us, "It's not luck. Luck isn't winning 6 games in a row. It's favor. God's favor."

Pastor Hanson adds, "God has blessed his hard work."

We asked Hanson if Tebow would be winning games if he wasn't such a strong believer -- and the pastor replied, "No, of course not."

So far, it's the only plausible explanation for this insane Broncos winning streak.

I don't think that the point here is whether God favors Tebow or not. Of course it all really has to do with whether you believe in God or not, but I think the amazing thing is, Tebow through his "testimony" (putting John 3:16 on his face) caused 92 million people to search what it was. And that could lead some to Christ. So you guys are right, God doesn't give two craps about football or the outcome. But does God care about people believing in him? (if you believe in that notion) Than yes, he does. And if it takes a football player, showing his faith off every time he gets on the field, I think God will use it. I as a Christian, have definitely seen weirder things happen!

God gives EVERY spirit the strength to challenge, adapt, etc. It is the individual spirit that listens and is guided by THAT strength.

God didn't make the Bears choke. That did that all by themselves. The fact that Tebow was there when they choked doesn't make it miraculous.

If god actually existed I'd say that this was true.

Dumbsh*ts.. there is no God, religion in a man made bullsh*t entity to control people.. It dumbs people down, and makes stupid people stupider.. Tebow may be in the zone right now, but he put himself there, not some deity he fondly refers to as "God"..

ARE YOU FOR REAL!! Tebow isn't winning the games DEFENSE AND THE RUNNING game is winning it for the broncos. If the defense would let a team get up by more than 15 points in 4th quarter, THEY WOULD LOSE. Also gotta credit the kicker for kicking game winning field goals at the end of every game. Look who they've played Miami's then horrible defense, Chicago with no cutler or forte, the Vikings who threw the ball right to the defense, etc. It's all a fluke.

So some little girl walking to kindergarden gets creamed by a bus, and God does nothing to stop it, but Tebow throws a ball, and God delivers it to a receiver? Why?
Why should prayer be needed to change the world for the better when God has ultimate power and loves everybody? Why do we have to pray for him to do whats clearly the only decent thing to do? Does your dog need to pray to you not to beat him with a stick?

Doesn't the bible say that God will forgive you for killing another mortal man, but doesn't the bible also say you shouldn't kill? I wonder if Christian could justify that contradiction.

When you die there's nothing but eternal darkness. I am a believer in reincarnation though.

I'm a Broncos fan . . . and this is just flat out embarrassing. Tebow may be hyper-religious, but God has nothing to do with whether or not the Broncos win or lose.

Good Christian Propaganda. Guess the other teams aren't favored by God. Thought God didn't play favorites. Oh well.
