Tim Tebow

God Is Saving the Broncos

... Says Colorado Pastor

12/12/2011 10:45 AM PST BY TMZ STAFF

Tim Tebow and Pastor Wayne Hanson
Broncos QB Tim Tebow is winning games because of God, pure and simple ... this according to a pastor at a Colorado church with ties to the Tebow family.

Pastor Wayne Hanson -- who runs Summit Church in Castle Rock, CO where Tim's dad often speaks -- tells TMZ God is actively intervening in Denver Broncos football games ... and aiding Tim on the field because of his strong faith.

Hanson tells us, "It's not luck. Luck isn't winning 6 games in a row. It's favor. God's favor."

Pastor Hanson adds, "God has blessed his hard work."

We asked Hanson if Tebow would be winning games if he wasn't such a strong believer -- and the pastor replied, "No, of course not."

So far, it's the only plausible explanation for this insane Broncos winning streak.

Faith is hard to have these days with rampant immorality, indecency, indifference and the Devil abounding in the world. So, to those of us who still have faith, I give mad kudos and say: keep fighthing the righteous fight.

I just needed to clarify things to those of you who have commeneted about my Lord and Savior. You falsely have made statements that need to be corrected. First of all. GOD DID NOT GIVE ANYONE DISEASE, disease entered the world, when man first fell into sin. Origionally, we had dominon over the world, but when Adam sinned the dominion was given over to the DEVIL who is alive and well on planet earth. He is the one causing every bad thing you could imagine. God gives us freewill to choose Him! Tim chose to live for the Lord, and he is a witness on his behalf. He is not supernatural, just a witness.

I think it is awesome that Tebow does not hide his faith. Why should he! He is simply standing behind what he believes in. Too many Christians hide because they are afraid to offend someone.

What an utterly ridiculous claim.

What happens when they lose? Then he can blame in on "god's will".

Religion is a complete sham.

Ugh! It's idiots like this that make religious people look like nut jobs.

And as far as Tebow vs the Pope, people in America love their false prophets (Obama anyone?), so it's Tebow.

The unmerited favor bestowed on faithful believers is not an aberration, Even if the Broncos don't win the super bowl, this phenomenal performance is a clear example of the favor of God extending to even unbelievers, for simply following and supporting the man of God.

First of all Tebow didn't say that. It's being quoted by a preacher that says Tebow's father sometimes speaks there at the church in Colorado. Neither Tebow nor his father said that. I see football players praying together before and after games. There's nothing wrong with Tebow or anyone showing their faith in God. There's nothing in the NFL rules that say he can't praise God during the game if he chooses to. Players dance and do all kind of things in games to celebrate a play. We love Tebow here in Florida he played for the Gators and was well respected by everyone. Don't pick on Tebow for something someone else said. Just as some of you don't believe and have a right to do so Tebow also has that right to show his faith. Tebow while playing for the Gators never made such statements only that he was a Christian and acted as one. His parents are also missionarys and travel to poor countries to help and Tebow has traveled with them and helped.

Really? These religious types are truly delusional. So 'God' has nothing better to do than worry about some football game? The weak minded sheep that believe this need to be committed.

all the war, crime, cancer, disease, and suffing amongst the millions im glad that the good man upstairs "in the clouds" can put all that other crapola aside and help the broncos. But i wonder why he hasnt helped the others that have prayed on the sidelines. i prayed for the lions and were having a good season so that must be god too. Im sure 6 wins in a row has nothing to do with divine intervention. it must be one of those churches in a mobile home and portable card tables and folding chairs. Sorry eithiopia. Gotta help the broncs.

This pastor is a fool and a joke. With all the problems in the world today its nice to see that God is a Broncos fan and doesn't miss a game. Stupid fool.
