Lady Gaga Lawsuit

Whiney Assistant Claims Gaga

Demanded Towel After Shower!

12/25/2011 7:08 AM PST BY TMZ STAFF

Lady GagaIn what reads like one of the biggest sour grapes lawsuits of the year, Lady Gaga's former assistant claims she was a slave to the singer, having to do such unconscionable things as fetching a towel for her after she showered, and keeping GG on schedule!

Jennifer O'Neill says in her lawsuit ... she worked for Gaga for 13 months, and is owed $380,000 in overtime.  O'Neill says in her suit her job included "ensuring the promptness of a towel following a shower and serving as a personal alarm clock to keep [Gaga] on schedule."

O'Neill claims she had to cater to Gaga in "stadiums, private jets, fine hotel suites, yachts, ferries, trains and tour buses."

And, O'Neill says, she was required to be at Gaga's beck and call at her "earliest waking hour."

O'Neill is suing for the $380k -- which represents 7,168 hours of overtime during the 13 months.

Gaga is not a defendant.  O'Neill is suing Mermaid Touring Company, which Gaga uses for concerts and what not.

Gaga's rep told the New York Post the suit is "completely without merit."

I would keep Gaga on schedule and well toweled. She's only one of the most important music icons in the business, one of the most creative and hard working people out there. The people around her have to have their **** together and help her make it happen. What a flunkie.

That would be about 18 hours a day for overtime...not possible.

Lazy good for nothing bum! Those are the requirements of a personal assistant. You were being paid to do that. A towel is the least of your worries! Be glad you didn't have to wipe her bottom. You get no sympathy from me, and you'll get nothing from the court either.

Uhm why would you get into the shower without a towel ready, and what's the big deal of going to get her a towel, when you're her assistant?

None of this makes sense. Did the assistant ride the short yellow bus growing up? Do the job you get paid for and shut up. Be happy you even have a job.

7168 hours, divided by 13 is 551.384. So 551.384 hours of overtime per month, divided by 30 days is 18.379 per day.

Hmm.

7 168 / (13 * 4) = 137.846 per week. Add in the 40 hours of a regular work week, and that's 187 hours of work per week.

7 * 24 = 168 hours (total) during a week on Earth. I'm sensing there may be exaggerations in her claim.

7,681/13 = 551 hours per month in overtime
551/31 days in the month = 17.77 hours per day in overtime
+ 8 hour regular shift = 25.77 work day
Did I do that math right?

Wait a minute. She claims she worked 7168 hours of overtime in 13 months? Her numbers don't compute because that comes out to working 18 hours of overtime every single day for 13 months. Am I missing something here or is my math way off.

If O'Neil was not fetching the towel fast enough, let me in there. I will not charge overtime for this task. I will even do the toweling off of Gaga. It's a thankless job, but somebody has to do it.

Asking for a towel after a shower seems like a reasonable request. and keeping the client on schedule for appointments isn't that the very reason a personal assistant is hired? she's sueing because she chose to do the job she applied and was hired to do? thats like saying I'll cut your grass for $10 than afterwards suing you for chosing to cut your grass.

You're a personal assistant.. that's what you're paid to do... fetch towels, order lunch, make sure your employer stays on schedule.. it's your damn job...you weren't being paid to tag along on all those trips just for the hell of it!
