Heather Locklear is currently being treated in an intensive care unit -- this according to a spokesperson for the hospital where Heather is staying.

According to the spokesperson, Heather is in good condition and she is medically stable. Heather is currently getting one-on-one care.

According to the spokesperson, she is not currently receiving visitors. Heather is currently being clinically evaluated and will continuously be throughout the day.

The spokesperson said Heather was brought in yesterday in "serious condition" -- and as of now, the time and date of Heather's discharge is unknown.

3:10 PM PST -- The spokeserson just made another announcement, claiming Heather has been upgraded to "good" condition ... but is still in the ICU. According to the spokesperson, Heather has been spending most of the day sleeping, but when she was awake, the actress was "chatty."

The spokesperson claimed Heather was in an "agitated" state upon her arrival to the hospital -- and she "was not speaking in coherent terms."

The spokesperson insisted the situation was NOT a suicide attempt.

Isn't this a total disregard for HIPPA?

How can a spokesperson for the hospital confirm or deny a patient is there, especially if it is a psychiatric patient. This hospital would be fined and the spokesperson would lose her job if they tried this crap on the East Coast.

If she is in I.C.U., her drug and alcohol levels were serious and life-threatening. The hospital CAN disclose that a patient, (famous or not), has been admitted. What they cannot do is disclose details of her case. All this aside, I have noticed that Heather, for over six years now, has been looking bloated and red in the face. To me, that would indicate high-level alcohol abuse. I hope she can get it together. I really do. Maybe this hospitalization will be the start of proper care and healing for her. God Bless her and her family.

I was thinking 5150 too. Sucks because they don't really help you with a 5150 but maybe as a celeb they'll care more than they do for regular folk.

THAT DUMB BITCH NEED TO BE FIRED!!!! AND THAT OUTFIT SUED. I CAN'T BELIEVE ANYBODY COULD BE THAT STUPID. THERE WERE SEVERAL HIPAA LAWS VIOLATED. MY ADVICE: STAY THE HELL AWAY FROM THAT OUTFIT!!! AND SOMEBODY [HEATHER] SHOULD INITIATE A FORMAL COMPLAINT AND FOLLOW-UP LAWSUIT. IT'S TIME THOSE FOLKS LEARN A LESSON 101

^Because he loves her and he knows a thing or two about the struggle she is going through? Unfortunately she suffers from more than alcohol addiction, and has since long before they got together. Depression plus drugs prescribed to treat and dependence on them, marriage to two practising alcoholics and two divorces, career slows down so she has more time on her hands, hormonal mood swings (menopause), friends who don't take her problems seriously enough and a lot of f-you money... She's got a lot of challenges to confront. I hope she can do it for her daughter, herself and everyone who loves her. Get well, Heather.

Why is she in intensive care if her condition is not life threatening in any way? Those beds are for people who need constant medical attention...not media attention!

ICU????? Seriously when you f*ck yourself up bad enough with pills and booze that you have to be treated in the ICU, the family or the state should be legally compelled to arrange suitable rehab for you.

august, I see you comment on several sites about 12 step religious cults, and for one thing, just so you can correctly rant about them, they are not affiliated in any way with treatment centers and they are run by money contributed only by their own members if they choose.A higher power can be anything including Good Orderly Direction. There are people who do try to make it a" Jesus thing" but that is actually against their own policy.I'm not quite sure why you are so against a group that tries to help people recover.
