John Elway is proving he'll go to any length to make the Denver Broncos better ... 'cause the Hall of Famer was spotted on a recruiting trip today ... flying coach!!!
Of course, Elway -- along with Broncos coach John Fox -- didn't have a choice. They were flying the low cost Greyhound of the skies ... Southwest Airlines.
A team rep tells TMZ ... Fox and Elway, VP of Football Operations, were scouting college prospects at the Senior Bowl in Mobile, AL -- and hopped the only available connection from New Orleans to Denver.
Don't panic Tebow Nation, they didn't come back with a new QB in their carry-on ... that we could see.

Oh damn.. what a travesty. Coach?? I wouldn't blame them if they rushed the ****pit and took the plane down. What kind of a world is this becoming if a former football player and a coach have to ride in coach like ordinary human beings. It's going to take some serious therapy to undo the damage this will obviously do to their mental health.

Yes, John Elway was a great quarterback, but as a GM, he is kind of a douchbag, jerking Tebow around all season. As for coach Fox, he is an even bigger douche who is as bright as a bag of rocks. I say this solely based on the series of dumb comments he made to the press throughout the season. On a side note, riding coach does suck, being tall and unable to afford flying first class, lol. Is anyone here ever able to upgrade with their air miles? What a farce.

DX And before the trolls start up, yes I have met him in person, several times, and yes, he's always a douchy =uck. He's notorious for doing thinks like running up a several hundred dollar food and bar tab and tipping $3.

A good friend of mine played for the Broncos a few seasons. I got to hang out with a few of the players and John was one of them. John is a very personable guy, and down to earth. Just a big overgrown kid.
