Baby Lyssa Chapman says she has a good reason for highly-publicized arrest last year -- and she plans on revealing that and more in a new memoir about the family ... TMZ has learned.
Baby Lyssa's arrest was a big deal when it happened last March -- and a big part of a recent episode of "Dog the Bounty Hunter." Sources close to Lyssa tell TMZ in her planned memoir, she'll reveal she was drugged on the night in question.
According to our sources ... Lyssa, who has had substance abuse issues in the past but has clean and sober for years, even visited a doctor in the months after her arrest who deemed she did not have a substance abuse order.
We're told the book -- which is being repped by Martin Literary Management -- will also detail problems with Leland and Duane Lee. According to our sources, they've left the bail bond business and severed ties with the rest of the family ... putting next season of the show in jeopardy.
Our sources say the production company behind the show have even sent the two a letter demanding their return to production or face being kicked off the show for good.
Calls to A&E have not been returned.

screw this trashy family.they break the law in all of their busts.leeland can only beat up drunk old guys by sucker punching them.seeing that she is still cool with the dad.im sure she will have nothing but bad things to say of leeland and the other guy considering they left the show.

Why bother watching the upcoming season if Leland and Duane Lee plus Lyssa aren't on the show. A lot of that 'bravado' of Dog has to be for the camera's, who's left Dog and Beth. If you don't have all the kids working as a family, it's not worth filming. Poor, Lyssa, what a mess.

I do believe Lisa, you could tell my her reaction when she got out of jail. As far as the family problems, blame Beth. She came the church I attend in Henderson, NV, Central Christian and she was the boss of the show. She did not interact with the kids or teenagers that came to see "Dog". It would have been the best time ever for them to get the message out on a face to face basis. I remembr te boys wanted to start a clothing line a couple of years ago and she squashed that idea. In a nutshell, realty stars eventually melt down.
Lisa, take care of yourself and your kids. Get a degree where you can help people away from Beth. Get your own identity.
Why does TMZ give a crap about this redneck family. They are like inbreds. This girl has a set of chopper teeth on her from hell or bubba teeth. She looks like a lizard in the face and skanky looking from hell.
This family is just white trash on parade. They are no better than the people they round up. Seriously, what member of the family hasn't been arrested that that's including Beth who lost custody of her own children and how often do you hear a case where the women don't get the kids?
I find it laughable that this drugged out skank is going to write a memoir. I'll set the over/under of copies sold at about fifty and her advance on this memoir was probably a few rocks of crack. There's nothing you have to say that anybody can be remotely interested in hearing.

I watched the recent episode and wondered if she'd been drugged; she had no idea how she had gotten to the place where she was arrested, etc. BUT, black out drunks do the same thing, so who knows? I do think she has a lot of pressure on her with the show notoriety and maybe it's time to roll up the carpet.
I agree with those who say Beth is the root of the problem. That loud-mouth harlot is evil. She runs her filthy mouth and dresses like a street walker, but judges others for doing the same. She wanted to leave Lyssa in jail to learn a lesson, but lets her youngest (the boy that looks like a girl) run roughshod over everyone. That kid has no discipline at all, and when "Garry Boy" ends up making little rocks from big rocks, I hope no one is surprised.
I heard the whole Leland & Duane Lee thing was just publicity. I wouldn't blame them for leaving, because who wants to work for a pu.ss.ified father and his domineering, streetwalker wife? But I think they won't walk away from the fame and the money. This band of banshees has become a joke. It's not "Dog the Bounty Hunter" anymore. It's "Beth the Whip Cracker".
