Whitney Houston

Water Found in Her Lungs

2/12/2012 4:45 PM PST BY TMZ STAFF

0211_whitney_getty_ex_12The autopsy of Whitney Houston revealed she did have water in her lungs when she died, but the medical examiner needs to determine exactly how much before they can rule whether she died as a result of drowning ... law enforcement sources tell TMZ.

As TMZ first reported, authorities believe Houston may have fallen asleep or lapsed into unconsciousness in the bathtub and drowned.

But according to our sources, authorities cannot yet determine whether Houston died before she was submerged in the water or after. We're told there is still a possibility Houston was dead before she went under the water.

Toxicology results will be back in 4-6 weeks.

Okay, the accolades for a DUMB-A$$ drug addict ho are ALMOST over at the opening for the Grammy's. Maybe KNOW we can ALL enjoy the Grammy's w/out the people on stage glorifying the SELFISHNESS of Whitney's OWN demise. Thank you, God. ENOUGH is ENOUGH. Just another addict that didnt care enough for herself or her daughter, and her life was taken from her for it.

You don't get water in your lungs if you are submerged after you are dead. She had to have breathed in water in order to get it in her lungs. So either she was drowned (likely) or she passed out and fell in the water (unlikely). Either way she died as a result of drowning.

One has to be seriously out of it to drown in a tub. The natural reaction of the body is to fight water entering the lungs. The body jerks, the trachea clamps down to avoid the water. Sad that she was so heavily sedated that no one noticed.

The deification of rich and famous junkies upon their demise (Whitney, Amy Winehouse, MJ, et al) is getting on my nerves. They dug their own graves. Now we have to endure every aspect of the media telling us how precious they were. If they would have contributed as many dollars to helping humanity as they did shoveling toxins into their bodies, I might be more inclined to mourn. They were all on everyone "death watch"...so it was no great surprise with any of them.

BTW, you can get water in your lungs while in the process of dying and not have the cause of death be drowning. The body can have something called agonal respirations, which is basically a reflex that happens. The body gasps, but it's already gone.

actually you can get a tiny amount of water in your lungs if you immediatly fall into water, cuz you body still intakes and expells air after death

I'm sure loser Bobby Brown has tried to drown poor Whitney many times before. Good thing for loser Bobby Brown he was in Mississippi last night or he'd be down at the LAPD right now be asked a whole lotta questions!

She was given a beautiful voice and trashed her life.
Do NOT glorify this singer - just another drug overdose.
