People close to Whitney Houston were aware she was taking XanaxPeople close to Whitney Houston were aware she was taking Xanax -- and according to our sources, she told them she always took it before big performances ... like the pre-Grammy party she was scheduled to perform at last night.

We're told Whitney believed the Xanax helped calm her nerves before going out in front of people. According to our sources, Whitney claimed to have anxiety and panic attacks and the pills helped her relax before taking the stage.

Our sources say the people inside of Whitney's hotel room when she died were aware Whitney would take Xanax before shows. We're told those people never saw Whitney take any pills, she would just tell them she did. They are unaware how many she would take or if she took any other drugs.

According to our sources, Whitney did not mention taking Xanax yesterday.

Our sources say Whitney had been in a good mood all day and was excited to be performing that evening.

Ms. Cali

Whitney touched the hearts of so many people thru her music, that most fans understood her pain and all she was going thru. We were all pulling for her to overcome her problems. So it really doesn't matter how she died. She will be sorely missed.....Also, I wish people would STOP BLAMING BOBBY!! We all make our own decision, right or wrong and we learn from them.

Clive Davis himself said the Whitney WAS NOT scheduled to perform.
Get it straight, do it honestly or shut up !

Clive Davis on a clip on TV at his party said "SHE WAS NOT SCHEDULED TO PERFORM" only there for the party, she loved his parties. So many contractions... Where is that "ALLEGEDLY" notation on all this nonsense being written

So Sad. She was so inspiring for so many people in the 80's. Please don't take anxiety and panic attacks for granted!

From Fox News:
More people die in America every year from prescription drug abuse than die from heroin and cocaine combined. That stunning finding comes in a new report Tuesday from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
The CDC found a fourfold increase in deaths from prescription narcotics over the past decade. Not surprisingly, it coincides with a fourfold increase in the number of prescriptions written for the powerful painkillers.
In 2008, the most recent year for which there are statistics, there were 20,044 overdose deaths from prescription drugs. Of those, 14,800 were from narcotic painkillers.

Who's managing the "legal" drugs cartel in USA ?

This is the comment for all the people commenting negatively on TM Z coverage on Whitney Houston. First, If you disagree. you are entitled to do that. Second, If you don't like what you read. Stop reading the information. I am always surprise to see people constant complaining about news media outlets, but yet continue to keep reading the information. Lastly, TMZ has already reported legitimate information. They (TMZ) has always be the first to report most accurate information. I have never ever saw this news media out screw or wrongly print information. They are just reporting what has been told to them, they aren't perfect either. Lastly, it is a tragic about what happen to Whitney Houston untimely death. However, she is not perfect human being. She is no better than Heath Ledger, Anna Nicole Smith and others who lost their lives do to abusive of prescription drugs. We all make mistake and many of us have secret addiction. Some of us are lucky enough to live long enough to get help and others end, well ends in tragedy. Instead of idolizing movie stars and overlooking their imperfection, we all should try find a positive ways to prevent this from happening. Lets face it, it is great many of people in America that are abusive prescription drugs rather by taking too many, mixing with alcohol or other mixing with other prescription medication not intended for use. Alarming, great many of Americans have overdose and die. Don't get me wrong, the news of hearing about Whitney Houston is just sad. My heart goes out to the family especially her young daughter. The matter of fact, every day I hear of someone not a movie star dying from over medicated. What ever the reason Whitney Houston died, it will all still be sad. If it is from prescription drugs, than something needs to be done. You can't go buy crack, crystal meth, heroine because it is illegal, but you can go legally get all the prescription anti-depressant and pain medication from the neighborhood pharmacy and even gets some from other people and yet there is no consequence for anyone, just sadness.
