Bobby Brown

Distraught After Hearing

He's Unwanted at Funeral

2/15/2012 5:15 AM PST BY TMZ STAFF

0214_bobby_brown_exd_tmz
Bobby Brown is "extremely disappointed" after hearing that several members of Whitney Houston's family do not want him to attend the singer's funeral ... sources tell TMZ.

Sources close to Bobby tell us ... people connected to the Houston family have reached out to Bobby to warn him that he shouldn't attempt to attend the funeral because the family isn't fond of him.

However ... we're told Bobby has not received any OFFICIAL word from the family about his invite status.

Sources tell us ... Bobby WANTS to attend the funeral so he can support his daughter Bobbi Kristina, but he hasn't decided on a plan of action yet.

Bottom line -- we're told Bobby is hoping the family will be able to set aside their differences so they all can focus on mourning the loss of their loved one.

I would like Paris Jackson and Bobbi Kristina become friends. They could support each other!

Cissy, please do the right thing for Whitney's daughter and let Bobby see Kristina and also let him and his family attend the funeral. Everyone is grieving in their own way and need to have closure. Be "classy" for Whitney.

Unfortunately, it is only human nature to blame others for our personal shortfalls. I think that it is both inaccurate and wrong to blame Bobby Brown for Whitney Houston's drug dependency issues. Whitney was a grown and worldly woman when they were introduced. She had previously made the decision to indulge in illicit drugs prior to even being introduced. However, because of the powerful industry machine backing Whitney, the general public was not privy to certain elements of her life. Whitney, herself, went on record and said that she and Bobby had more in common than people knew. The devil is always in the details, but there are no devils or angels in this story. Stop it and grow up. Publicists and record labels feed the public what will get you to spend money on their commodity, ie. Whitney or Bobby. Its all a money game and the public needs to stop taking it personally.

Bobby may have introduced Whitney to drugs, but Whitney is the one who took it to the extreme. Bobby used drugs - Whitney abused them.

I am pretty sure to some extent that if Bobby Brown went to Whitney's funeral that he would have been really uncomfortable, I must say that Bobby is a big part of Whitney's drug abuse to where the family is taking ever measurement to protect Bobbi Kristina, the family has lost a huge part of their family, that child is all they have left now that's a part of Whitney. I never once seen or heard Bobby wanting to reach out to help Whitney knowing that she was struggling with drug abuse at least protect his daughter. Bobby move on and let the Houston Family mourn their lost, all for the better.

Jada Pinkett was on drugs when she met Will Smith. He made it clear that he wasn't going to tolerate that, and it stopped. Had Whitney married someone more responsible I believe we wouldn't be where we are today. Bobby bears some (not all responsibility). However, Bobby was physically and emotionally abusive towards Whitney over the years that I believe he broke her down, she lost her self esteem and forgot who she was.

Personally I want the best possible outcome for Bobbi Christina and I don't think Bobby Brown will be helpful towards that end.

I wish they would stop blame Bobby for Whitney drug problem.
Whitney was taking drugs before she met Bobby. The image Clive Davis sold the world was fake.

it is a tragedy that whitney died...it is sad.but bobby brown should not be blamed for whitney houstons drug abuse.he didnt put a crack pipe to her mouth,he didnt force her to do drugs.even though they had both done drugs together,it was whitneys choice[her weakness]to continue to abuse drugs.i hate how people point the finger at bobby brown.whitney was doing drugs before she even knew of bobby brown.

You really cant blame the family for not wanting him there.

"IF" his daughter wants him there, they should make an acception. Otherwise, he should follow the wishes of the family and stay out.

No big PR stunt for Mr. Brown allowed. If it were not for Whitney Houston, Mr. Brown would be unknown. He is famous b/c of her.

Keep dreaming, drug addict. You enabled your then wife to get addicted (or further addicted) to drugs. You're a pathetic piece of trash & deserve a crippling beat down with baseball bats. Here's to hoping you share the same fate as her: drowning.

I can understand why the family might feel the way they do, but this isn't the time to fight. I bet Whitney would want Bobby at her funeral and the kid is 18 years old - she doesn't need anyone's permission to see her father. Now is not the time to fight. Let him go to the funeral - I really believe Whitney would want him there.

My opinion is that Brown is largely to blame for this. He didn't kill her directly but it's hard to ignore how beautiful Whitney was and how angelic her voice was before Brown showed up.

The Whitney that existed after Brown entered her life with the booze, drugs, beatings, and chaos was a person nothing like the Whitney America fell in love with.

He put her on a deadly path and her family, rightfully should now keep him away. She now returns to the church her mother took her to and the family that raised her there.

It benefits no one to allow Bobby Brown on the scene. Let the family deal with the damage he created without having to see him. I hope his conscience reminds him every day of the beautiful person he path on a path to destruction.
