Michael Jackson Estate

Claims MJ's Manager

Royally Screwed Him

Michael Jackson's Estate is going after Tohme Tohme, MJ's former manager, claiming he fleeced the singer out of millions of dollars.

TMZ has obtained legal docs filed by the Estate, claiming Tohme got Michael to sign agreements that earned him a fortune for doing nothing.

According to the papers, Estate attorney Howard Weitzman claims Tohme got MJ to agree to pay him $35,000 a month plus expenses as a flat fee -- regardless of what work Tohme performed.  On top of that, Tohme inked a deal that gave him 15% of any money Michael made.

And there's more ...Tohme introduced Michael to a lender that refinanced Neverland.  In return, Tohme got Jackson to pay him $2.4 million -- just for the introduction.   And Tohme got MJ to promise him 10% of any profits if the Ranch was sold.

Tohme also got MJ to agree to pay him $100,000 a month for the "This Is It" tour.

Estate lawyers are anticipating a lawsuit by Tohme against the estate for the money he claims he's owed, and the Estate wants to shut him down before a suit is filed.

The Estate is also asking for damages.

BTW, Michael fired Tohme 3 months before he died.

A legal war over Michael Jackson's earnings has broken out between his estate and his former manager. Attorneys for both sides have filed lawsuit against one another in Los Angeles Superior Court on Friday, February 17. The late singer's estate accused Tohme R. Tohme of breach of fiduciary duty, but he insisted he helped save MJ's career after his child molestation trial.

The do***ents filed by MJ's estate noted that Tohme "took control of virtually all of Jackson's personal and professional affairs, then did as he pleased" after being hired. It further read, "With no oversight or supervision, Tohme quickly set about to and did install a far-reaching and very lucrative financial package for himself obtained as a result of a manifest breach of his fiduciary duties."

Tohme was also accused of making bad business deals on the late singer's behalf and of getting himself generous compensation in exchange. The estate claimed that the former manager introduced MJ to Colony Capital, which took over Neverland Ranch in 2008, and received a 10% finder's fee on the refinanced loan and a promise of a 10% take on any profit of the Ranch's future sale.

Claiming that Tohme had improperly retained MJ's property and financial records, the estate demanded that the former manager to "immediately and fully account for a return to the estate all money and personal property entrusted to him by any time by Jackson." The estate also asked for damages, interest, attorney's fees and legal costs.

In his response, Tohme, who worked for MJ from early 2008 until a few months before his death in June 2009, argued that he played significant role in reviving the singer's career after he was acquitted of child molestation charges. He also claimed to have saved Neverland and took credit for the name of MJ's comeback tour, "This Is It".

Michael never like Tohme and I believe that he had something to do with Michael's death. If you look into it you will find that he was behind it all the way Trust me I believe that all the way. It just seem a little funny that 3 months after he let him go Michael ends up dead. Tohme didn't like the fact that he wasn't in control and so he got rid of Michael so you all need to Investigate it. Michael went to his spritual advisor about him and she told him to get rid of him and he done just that because he didn't trust him. so when he did what happen Please look into it and see what you find Thank you LOVE YOU MICHAEL YOU ARE LOVED MISSED BUT NEVERFORGOTTEN YOU ARE ANGEL ON EARTH AND IN THE HEAVENS ABOVE RIP ANGEL

Statement from attorney Howard Weitzman, on behalf of The Estate of Michael Jackson:

-
"The Estate of Michael Jackson filed claims against Tohme Tohme for misconduct that it determined occurred during the brief time he was associated with Michael as his personal manager as well as actions that took place after Michael passed away. We expect Mr. Tohme to file a lawsuit against the Estate. We believe the facts will show that Mr. Tohme’s claims are meritless and that Mr. Tohme engaged in wrongdoing with respect to Michael Jackson starting early in their relationship. The Petition filed summarizes our position and we will let this matter be litigated in the courts."

Dirty laundry? Guess that is all you live for is to hear some dirt regarding MJ or anyone else for that matter.

Fact of the matter is, is that there is no dirt so I guess you will be sooooooo disappointed. LoL

Guess this is another example of your DELUSIONAL mind as "the credits" as you call them, if the case is won, will go to directly to the Estate of which Michael's children are the benefactors.

In the words of the poster called Della, "Get your head out of your ass."

Big surprise. MJ surrounded himself with incompetent and unscrupulous people. Either they couldn't do their jobs, act responsibly or act with his best wishes in mind. Bad management, bad security, bad personal staff and doctors that would do or give him whatever he wanted. Add this to people being threatened or paid off to obey and keep their mouths shut and it was a recipe for disaster.

So, this jackass finally crawled out from under the rock he has been hiding under since MJ's death. I was wondering when that was going to happen. I guess since he is being forced out that is. I hope they undercover this man's dealings. Never did like him.
