'Biggest Loser' Castoff

Contestants on Strike

Are Sabotaging Their Lives

2/23/2012 3:00 AM PST BY TMZ STAFF

John Forger
The oldest person ever to compete on "Biggest Loser" has some wise words for the contestants currently on strike -- the weight loss show is NOT about the prize money ... it's about saving your life.

TMZ broke the story ... nearly all of the remaining contestants on the current season have walked off the show and are threatening to quit -- after learning that producers were considering bringing back previous contestants to compete for the $250,000 grand prize.

The contestants are striking because they feel it's unfair to bring back old contestants -- which would hurt their chances at winning the money.

But 66-year-old John Forger (above) -- who competed on Season 12 -- tells TMZ, "It's not about [money]. What it's really about, for most of us, is the change in our lifestyle, and being able to get rid of obesity."

John adds, "For most of us, it's about health. Would I walk off the show for the money? ABSOLUTELY NOT."

John was eliminated in the second week of Season 12 -- but he tells us, he has no regrets ... losing 97 pounds while he was on the show, and an additional 15 afterwards.

nothing personal

This season has been the most ridiculous of all. Conda and her brother are the reason for most of the drama around the house, and it is too bad that no one in the house had the courage (not to say other word that start with b....) to confront Conda who does what she wants. Most seasons the audience has been able to sense the feel of unity and team spirit, but this season has been childish and immature. I am not gonna watch this show anymore because it is just not worth it. I know what's gonna happen already...Conda is going to get more people against an innocent victim and they are gonna vote them out.

for anyone who watches this show regularly, they do this every season! those who are on strike are only there for the money!! if you are there to take care of your health, this would not be a issue. i bet conda and kim organized this. i feel sorry for the millions of people who would love to be on there, and these fools on there now, dont need to be. bring all the others back, let the strikers go, and move on. i mean they give others a chance to come back every season, to clarify.

If it's not about money and just health, why don't the originals compete for a different prize? They could win challenges and win top quality gym equipment and a years supply of food from somebody like weight watchers which is really nice for somebody making a life change. Of course I don't know anything about the show and those special challenges and prizes could already be included.

Who's running this show? Conda (the complaining bully) She seems to be the 'HIGH SCHOOL" leader. Why are they following her? She has not appreciated the help she has been given so far. Sure hope she is NOT the winner in the end.

This is a game with great benefits for the contestants whether or not they get to the end. There has been so much time and effort put into the contestants' weightloss, give me a break with all their whining. I might not even watch the finale; I'm sick of this season's contestants.

The contestants signed forms before they started the show that clearly said former contestants would be brought back to try to win a place in the finals. It was a stupid move on the part of those two who walked. Didn't they watch last season? I don't understand what motivated them to leave unless it was fear.
