Dr. Conrad Murray

Denied Freedom

During Manslaughter Appeal

2/24/2012 5:20 AM PST BY TMZ STAFF

0224_murray_BN_01
Dr. Conrad Murray was just shot down by a judge, denying him bail while he appeals his manslaughter conviction in the death of Michael Jackson.

During today's hearing, Judge Michael Pastor found Murray is still a flight risk because he does not have significant property or family ties here in Los Angeles.

Judge Pastor also believes Murray is a danger to society -- citing the NBC documentary, in which Murray fails to show any remorse for MJ's death.

Pastor said "it scares me" that Murray believes it's okay to use Propofol in a home setting -- and insists he could pose a danger to the safety of other people if he were released.

Murray had previously filed a motion asking for bail so he could spend time with his family while he awaits the outcome of his appeal.

Murray is hoping to overturn his manslaughter conviction on grounds he never had a chance to prove Michael killed himself  due to stress ... among other reasons.

Murray's appellate attorney Valerie Wass says she believes Murray is a "scapegoat," who's being blamed for Michael's death because there's no one else to target.

Is his attorney a total idiot? Saying he is a "scapegoat" because there is nobody else to target? Why do you suppose there's nobody else to target, oh brilliant attorney? Because your client killed him, maybe? There's nobody else to target, because there's nobody else to blame.

Guess Murray's medical school is mighty pride of him.
The same weak character that made him cheat on his wife, making babies everywhere that he could not provide for and recruiting girls the really easy way (popping into strip joints and present himself as a rich doctor), made him become propofol doctor for MJ, although he did not even possess the basic qualifications. And the very same flawed character made him too lazy to even read up on the subject.

I'm still wondering about the chain of events that June morning in 2009, though. How can one man make THAT many mistakes in a row...?

I am sure many of you hate Conrad Murray and think Michael did nothing to add to his own demise, that is cool. I am fine with that. I think Murray was negligent in his actions as an MD. BUT, really, to say he is a danger to society, that is ridiculous. What do you think he will do, go out with syringes of Propofol attacking innocent people? Be careful what you wish for people when you hate so much that you are not capable of seeing how the Judge saying things like this and it being allowed to happen causes precedent to be set and one day it may be one of you in a position where the courts determine where you live. Don't say never, you never know.

he wanted house arrest...Are you you §h!tt!ng? The drugs that he was administrating were drugs that weren't to be administrated in a bedroom. He went to med school and became a doctor for a reason he knew what he was doing went against all rules in the med field. He's where he belongs... You did the crime now it's time to do your time.

So apparently his appeal lawyer does crack too! What part of you do not administer or even bring a drug like Propofol into a setting like someone`s private bedroom knowing full well they were struggling with dependency issues. Seriously he has no remorse at all! like i said before first degree stupidity worth a death sentence in my books!

A flight risk? Sure, to a small extent but leaving the country would be very difficult for him.
A danger to society? I seriously doubt it. What do you thing he would actually do?

I don't think he should have got out but, I also think the judge is letting his personal feeling effect his comments. He should be held simply because the maximum sentence (4 years serving only 2) was so small.

And to the mental midget that keeps bringing up his 5x8 cell, that's pure luxury as far as jail is concerned.

To the people that keep saying he shouldn't even ask to get out or even appeal, you are ignorant. That's what people who go to jail do and that's why they have lawyers. Almost everyone that has a criminal trial does it, why are you so shocked?
