Whitney Houston

Family 'Disgusted'

by Casket Photo

Whitney Houston's family had "their heart broken all over again" this week when they saw a photo of Whitney laying in her casket published on the cover of a magazine ... TMZ has learned.

Sources close to the family tell TMZ the family is disgusted the photo was printed and they have no idea how security surrounding the casket was breached. We're told the family could tell from the photo that it was taken from inside the funeral home, but they have no idea who would have snapped the pic.

Our sources say Whitney's mother, Cissy, has taken the publication of the photo the hardest.

Despite their disgust and outrage, we're told the family will not investigate the matter further.

The owner of the funeral home has denied any wrongdoing on the part of her or her staff.

Bobbi K took that photo. This would explain her absence. There was just enough time to sign the confidentialty contract, collect her money and enable the Enquirer to make it's print deadline. Bobbi K needs the money. Dionne owes 2 million in taxes, and no one else in Whitney's family is rolling in the dough. If not Bobbi K anyone else in the family could have done it!!!

FYI -- eight days ago, someone shopped that pic to TMZ ... we passed.

TMZ, Cough cough bull**** you just lost the bidding war and didnt have enough money to buy the rights to the photo. Try to act like you ain't like that you bought rihanna's beating photo and Micheals death photo not to mention all the other Whitney photos. It's obvious TMZ just didnt have the deep pockets to buy this one.

Upset? THEY are the ones that probably did it, for MONEY! After all, they ARE SELLING the funeral video, so what's the difference? Low-life blacks..., sad but true.

Pesonally, I do not see anything wrong with the picture compared to the ones published of her in the weeks prior to her death. Those are the pictures Cissy Houston should be upset about. It says it all that the family doesn't want to further investigate...it was a family member. Maybe this is why Bobbi Kristina disappeared after the services while the family was eating dinner. She needs the money. Again, I thought Whitney looked beautiful and peaceful in the photo.

This is such a sad and tragic topic to discuss. I knew when Whitney died that this was going to happen. That someone within their circle would take a picture of Whitney and sell it. I strongly feel in all honesty that it was nobody at the funeral home. It is someone within their circle that took the photo and sold it for money. I have seen many times that when a horrific tragedy happens in family that those we lean on the most and least expect that can be the ones that hurt us the most. And, those that we least expect to lift us up...do so. But, this individual definitely found this as a way to cash in big and I send out many loving prayers to the Houston family. Just focus on the love, laughter and good times that you spent with Whitney. She'll be sending you additional 'signs' that she is present with you. The big word I get from Whitney is "LOVE"...always move forward in love. And I also get from Whitney that her daughter should listen and lean on a close aunt "Auntie" in her life to help her through this difficult time.

God's sake guys, did anyone take English? It's "lying," not "laying."

The REAL STORY is the kind of "friends" that Whitney chose and hung around with. What else do you expect from s***bags? The National Enquirer is simply doing what they do best (or worst).

The family is probably upset because they didn't sell it first.

ummm...didn't they broadcast the funeral live online...the family made a mockery out of the whole thing long before that picture was published.

she's dead and you still manage to use the most unflattering picture of her?

Of course they can, they are just choosing to look the other way. The National Enquirer had to have written out a check or made a wire transfer to someone, right?
If it wasn't one of the Houston family members, they know who did it & they're okay with it....

Shame on it ALL! I just hope now that all of the 'death hags' have gotten the site of dear Whitney's body lying in the casket out of their system, they can move on and leave this grieving family to do JUST THAT... GRIEVE! I give it a few weeks before dear Cissy's heart gives out and she meets her precious daughter at Heaven's gate. Just heartbreaking.
