'Mad Men' Star Jon Hamm

Kim Kardashian and Paris Hilton

Are 'F***ing Idiots'

3/10/2012 4:50 AM PST BY TMZ STAFF

Don Draper isn't one to mince words, so it's only fitting that "Mad Men" star Jon Hamm DESTROYED Kim Kardashian and Paris Hilton in a recent interview ... calling them stupid and "f**king idiots."

Hamm appears in next month's issue of ELLE UK, where he said, "Whether it's Kim Kardashian or Paris Hilton or whoever, stupidity is certainly celebrated. Being a f**king idiot is a valuable commodity in this culture because you're rewarded significantly."

Clearly Hamm was not in his right mind when he gave the interview ... because he also said he doesn't "even consider myself handsome."

Get well soon, Jon.

After their 15 minutes of fame is up, the only thing people will remember Paris Hilton and Kim Kardashian for are their ridiculous sex tapes. Oh well, I guess they've proved that there's plenty of FOOLS out there that are willing to buy the overpriced stuff they endorse. Other fools will watch them make idiots out of themselves on their reality shows too. Maybe that's helping to stimulate the economy a little. That's about all that's positive about it.

I guess some people don't really care what kind of garbage they watch on TV or they'll buy something simply because Paris Hilton, the heiress, did a TV commercial for it. It might be because they admire Kim Kardashian's nice butt. Who knows? Jennifer Lopez has a nice butt too but at least she ALSO has some real talent in music and she's done fairly well in some of her movies.

Daniel Craig pretty much said the same thing about Kim K and then his movie The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo flopped.

Boondoggle

Jon Hamm hit the nail on the head. But the headline TMZ put on this item is irresponsible. While he certainly implied that Kim and Paris are part of the general group he's referring to, he doesn't actually call THEM f-ing idiots. The TMZ headline could easily be challenged in a libel suit, because technically Hamm did not say what the headline says he said. They took two separate sentences and put them together and made it look like a direct quote. WRONG.

Sweetdee,

When your TV show has won as many awards as "Mad Men" has over the years you can't really say it's overrated. The critics love and millions of people all over the world love it. Jon Hamm is a major reason for it's success along with a great supporting cast. I'm a fan of January Jones. She's a hot looking woman. She plays an erratic, sometimes unlikable character on the show. He's got a cheating husband so what do you expect?

Read this from wikipedia:

Mad Men has received critical acclaim, particularly for its historical authenticity and visual style, and has won multiple awards, including fifteen Emmys and four Golden Globes. It is the first basic cable series to win the Emmy Award for Outstanding Drama Series, winning it in each of its first four seasons in 2008, 2009, 2010, and 2011.

The fact that we live and die for Freedom of Speech (lol) does not mean that people use it for the best of reasons. I wonder why people (anyone) feel a need to say nasty things about others? (people who they just do not like) I am not saying I like any one of these people, however, Jon Ham has lost credibility in my eyes for using freedom of speech in such a silly way. There are truly bad people in the world, murders, pedophiles, men who beat on women, etc. I can understand someone saying they do not like those types of people, but what really makes this Hamm fellow feel a need to say such silly and rather stupid things? Does he think he is better? BTW Mad Men is not exactly "Shakespeare".
