Uganda Prime Minister

Responds to Kony 2012 Video

and Calls Out Celebs on Twitter

Uganda Prime Minister Amama Mbabazi is finally responding to the Kony 2012 viral video -- with a video of his own and a series of tweets directed at a slew of celebrities.

Just a day after Kony 2012 director Jason Russell was detained by police after a naked meltdown on the streets of San Diego, Mbabazi posted a video on YouTube refuting a "false impression" people have been given about the country as a result of Marshall's video.

Mbabazi said the video is not representative of the current conditions in his country and added, "The Kony 2012 campaign fails to make one crucial point clear: Joseph Kony is not in Uganda."

Mbabazi also tweeted at several celebs who helped make the Kony 2012 video so popular (see below).

With all the laid off newspaper copy editors in LA you would think Harvey could hire one. Who the hell is Marshall?

The retards that support the kony 2012 campaign are still not convinced they are blissfully ignorant , even the prime minister of uganda is no match for their IQ's the cony campaign supporters need to hear it from rihanna in order for them to take it seriously

The idiotic Kony 2012 supporters will still stick to the belief that Kony is an issue.Even when countless of people who actually live, or have family in Uganda say that the video is total BS, and that Kony is no longer a threat. They watch 1 stupid video and suddenly think they are experts on a topic. F'tards.

This is very strange how all of a sudden, Jason Russell's public meltown happened after the video went viral, and Prime Minister of Uganda went on the attack. Mr. Mbabazi of Uganda waited for this meltdown to attack Mr. Russell, but why now? I believe there might have been someone from his government sent over here to drug Mr.Russell in his food or drink to make him look like a mad crazy man, one not to believe. This is just too much for one to believe.

Fools Rush In

Kony is still wanted by the International Criminal Courts for crimes against humanity. Scoff at what you will but the facts remain the same, Kony is a man that does not belong free from justice. His victims deserve he is brought to justice.

i just can't believe ppl do not research first -besides all the proof - just check posts a tweets from uganda citizens, they are saying kony is not a problem maybe first few days you could get carried away, but after day 4 when all the news stations are after russell because of all the inconsistencies in their stories and in their finacials - and they still don't check???

This is basically a case of someone bringing attention to an issue that is 10 years old. I remember in the early-mid 2000s that some biologist friends of mine wanted to do some research in Uganda but couldn't because of how incredibly dangerous it was. However they went there a year ago or so and everything was fine. Basically this Kony thing is the same as if someone made a video about the atrocities Saddam Hussein committed and made it sound like it was happening today.

So laughable. You wouldn't donate a dollar to help returning soldiers from your own country but you'll donate money to a cause you know nothing about. Look at that list of clowns too...Rush, Tebow, Seacrest and Swift. Please, they are no better just supporting and saying what their "fans" want them to support and say. Nothing to see here folks.

this whole thing is just surreal - 30 days ago no one knew who this guy was - then he releases the doc. it goes crazy viral, he goes on press tour - ppl act so emotionally that in the first 4 days between donations, google ads on you tube, selling kony swag on their site they raise 10's of millions of dollars, then when every one takes a better look, this whole thing has huge credibility and finance problems, then he goes running naked thru the streets totally bat crazy - i don't think any one knows how this will turn out

"Mbabazi posted a video on YouTube refuting a "false impression" people have been given about the country as a result of Marshall's video.".....isn't it ironic how Mbabazi speaks up a day after Jason's meltdown? Why didn't he speak up before?

I honestly believe Kony's supporters in the US got to Jason and slipped him a hallucinogenic drug to discredit him. I don't believe Jason had a meltdown from the fame the video brought him.

If rush limbaugh goes there in the next 30 days I'll eat a bug! I swear I'll do it. Not a very big one though, and not any kind that bites, and not a hairy one, maybe just something like a grasshopper or cricket. And rush has to send a hot chick like taylor swift or paris hilton or cheryl tiegs to be a witness.
