Richard Grieco

I'll Be in the SECOND

'21 Jump Street' Movie

He was DISSED by producers in the first "21 Jump Street" movie, but Richard Grieco (who starred in the classic TV series) tells TMZ ... he WILL be involved in the sequel -- REDEMPTION!!!!!!

Grieco -- who played alongside Johnny Depp in the TV series -- was noticeably absent from the Jonah Hill remake ... even though Depp got a cameo.

But last night, Grieco was hanging out in a funky shirt at the Pantages Theater in L.A. ... and he simply explained ... NOBODY EVER ASKED HIM!

Despite the burn ... Grieco did tell us producers are making things right ... saying, "I'll be doing the sequel."

GRIECOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The only person the idiots in charge of approving movies for the movie studios are too young to remember the show since most of them weren't even born yet! The only cast member anyone today would recognize is Johnny Depp. I wish Hollywood would stop remaking old TV shows into movies. What's next Gilligans Island? Quantam Leap? Cosby Show? Come on Hollywood, try making books into movies! Lood at what happened with The Help!

Let's hope Grieco takes some acting lessons before that happens. There is a reason he hasn't worked in 20 years, he can't act

He actually looks a little better than he did in Night at the Roxbury a decade ago. He's aged far worse than Johnny Depp, all I'm saying is he looked like he just had bad plastic surgery a week before shooting that movie, so anything would be better than that.

I really don't think he was missed in the film. He was only in one season of 21 JS. Johnny obviously will not be in a sequel so there might be a place for him.

So glad that they didn't just give a cameo to Johnny Depp and leave out Holly Robinson! Glad she had an appearance as well.

It's crazy just like with the A-Team remake Mr T didn't recieve a cameo but "Dwight Schulz-Murdock, and Dirk Benedict-Face received one

And thats the truth

I think he had gotten into a motorcycle accident and he got addicted to pain killers. I rememeber reading something about that. I always thought he was better looking the Johnny in 21 Jump Street. He still looks good except for the haircut and the shirt.......

He has always been disturbing to look at, especially with his plucked eyebrows and eye makeup.

Give the guy a break, it's not like he was ready to be on camera....Loved him on Jumptreet and Booker.

He looks like a slightly (just slightly) more attractive Howard Stern. And he should absolutely hold his breath in regards to being in the sequel.

He is a great actor and is still sexy as heck even if not your tall blond actor of today. B O R I N G!
He needs to get back to work or is he that difficult to work with?

Just watched TMZ where they said Richard Grieco was an "original" cast member. NOT TRUE. The show started in 1987 with Johnny D and then Richard came on the scene in 1988. So, colour me crazy, but, it makes complete sense that he would be in the sequel not the original!

Stop saying Grieco starred in 21 Jump Street. He was on it for less than half a season. That's a recurring guest star.

'Didn't see the "21 Jump Street" movie. 'Don't plan to, either. ('Never watched the series when it was on, either.) So, hearing here that Johnny Depp had a cameo in the movie IS MIND BOGGLING, because of the way he personally recalled his time doing the show as the worst experience for him (paraphrase), and also the way he "expressed himself" in public life and in hotel rooms, at the time.
