'Basketball Wives' Star

Accused of Spending $110,000

on Plastic Surgery

4/2/2012 12:20 AM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

Kenya Bell spent $110000 on plastic surgery
"Basketball Wives" star Kenya Bell spent $110,000 on plastic surgery and surgery-related expenses -- this according to her estranged husband ... who's now trying to prove she's completely reckless with her money.

It's the latest in the couple's divorce battle -- Kenya filed docs complaining her basketball-playing husband Charlie Bell has been shopping at Louis Vuitton in Paris ... while she struggles to provide for their children.

Charlie fired back with an explosive response -- listing off ALL the ways Kenya has allegedly squandered hundreds of thousands of dollars over the years ... and it's wild.

According to the docs, Kenya spent ...

-- $82,000 on a Corvette, which she drove for 3 weeks -- then resold it for $61,000
-- $12,000 on a motorcycle
-- $20,000 on criminal attorneys
-- $150,000 on "miscellaneous expenses to get even with Mr. Bell"
-- $3,000 on her brother's electric bill
-- $9,000 on luggage and shoes
-- and $110,000 on plastic surgeries and expenses in L.A. for the plastic surgery trips

Charlie -- who currently plays pro ball in Italy -- also claims he gave Kenya $200,000 before leaving for Europe ... so he wants the court to deny her request for him to set aside a large chunk of his money for support.

A judge has yet to rule.

I have never seen so many athletes marry women who do not have the financial means to independantly support themselves. If you are a reality star,stripper,dancer/video chick or groupie with unnatural body parts, u are the NBA, NFL or entertainment industry's MOST WANTED WIFE! Charlie Bell pay up or shut up! That's what you ballers get for wifing chicks with no Substance, character or integrity and most of all educated with financial means to support themselves! Can't wait to see what happens with WIz Khalifah and Amber Rose!

And? Kenya can spend money the way she pleases and Charlie Bell still needs to support his children. By the way, Kenya is beautiful and I ain't mad at her. Keep yourself looking good Ms Kenya.

Why do people say negative things when the are caught up in their own world of negativity. When you say things that are not true really makes you a sad person. Especially when your wife push you into the NBA and did all the leg work to get you there. For you to blast her tells allot about you. With his wife he had a strong carrier, without her D.U.I's on more. Now no more NBA.

Those money that she spent is nothing in comparison to the infidelities that a woman who marries an athlete has to experience. He probable spend much more than that on all the women - buying Louis Vuitton - for whom????????

Ok I went to Mich State with Charlie, we started off as freshmen together, and he was just a really nice guy then. Kenya was also on campus, older, think she was a few years ahead, either doing her masters at that point and she definitely wanted to be with one of the good and popular guys on campus. Charlie was an attractive and quiet guy, and anyone that was on campus then, can attest to that. Kenya Bell's claim to fame was she was a former Ms Black Michigan, who cares. She has a masters in engineering, if I remember correctly, she should go put it to use. Charlie is 33 this year, she should be about 38 or so now, and should stop acting like a child.

Boycotting the Basketball Wives of Miami and Los Angeles
VH1 and its corporate parent, Viacom Entertainment has aired 4 seasons of their Basketball Wives television franchise. The show was initially promoted as an avenue for viewers to grow, learn and discuss the successes and perils of life as a “basketball wife.” However, the show has proven to be nothing more than a set of glossy choreographed boxing matches marked by superficiality and monumental levels of bullying. In the year 2012, where we have a bi-racial president and an African American first lady, we need not be “tragically colored.” The reality series perpetuates the most vulgar stereotypes about women of color particularly, Black women. The show has very few redeeming qualities if any at all. Young people across the nation tune into to the most grotesque illustrations of black femininity. Women well beyond their child-bearing years, cursing, fighting and destroying property. One would have to assume that the show’s wild success presents a complicated problem for thoughtful, scripted and well crafted television. American popular culture has taken on a particular tone similar to that of Ancient Rome. Americans have become a ravenous community obsessed with the “spectacle.” Romans were consumed with their violent gladiators and many Americans are consumed with their tragic reality t.v. “stars.” These questionable activities occur all in the name of entertainment. Hollywood is a beautiful cultural mosaic made mostly out of broken dreams and broken people. But, we refuse to partake in Black cultural degradation and misappropriation. In the year 2000, we thought that the matrix would hijack us little did we know that we would run towards it with open arms. It is beginning to border on exploitation and we are all finally tapping out on this one. We are people of color and we are talented, determined and cosmically powerful. We embody light and love. We do not want to see these types of representations of Black women on VH1 in the form of Basketball Wives Miami or Los Angeles!
