Simon Cowell & Ex-Fiancee

The Fab 'Parting Gift' Mansion

4/16/2012 12:09 PM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

0416_mezghans_houseHere it is ... the $8 million "parting gift" Simon Cowell gave to his ex-fiancee Mezhgan Hussainy when he dumped her ass earlier this year -- his old, used mansion in Beverly Hills.

TMZ has learned ... Simon moved out of the home a few years ago ... when he upgraded to a spiffier 6-bedroom $12 million dream home ... just a few miles away (below).

As we previously reported, Simon felt Mezhgan "deserved" the old property for having to deal with all of the public scrutiny that comes with dating the "X Factor" honcho.

The real question -- why did Simon have an old mansion just lying around? If you have to ask, you can't afford it.

Different Rules Apply

Disgusting how lavishly these celebrities live while most others are working 2 jobs trying to pay the food & gas bills. This world is way out of balance.

And what does she do for a living that will allow her to keep up a place that large or pay the property taxes every year? She needs to be a millionaire just to do that.

I'm sorry, I'm sure it's amazing inside.. but that is one of the most hideously ugly buildings I've ever seen. That thing makes run down mill factory buildings look beautiful! What an eyesore

If we take a million dollars from each of these ungrateful celeb's, and donate it to the poor, i can assure you' there will be no such thing as starvation. these people buy 15 thousand dollar bags, 8 million dollar mansions, and people around the world are just praying to god for a loaf of bread. life is the most unfairest place i no.

That roof looks like something out of a Terminator movie.

There is no doubt he would have to keep up the finances that some with a house this large and expensive! There is no way she could afford the upkeep, much less taxes etc....

Unless there is proof - a deed or some legal paper or tax form - this is a legal step that will benefit Simon and make her look good. And keeps new gals hoping for a big pay day. He's letting her live there rent free.

Nice A/C units on the roof, Simon. Looks just like a commercial building. Ugh. No wonder you gave the place away.

Seems to me the richer you get, the uglier house you buy. Strange, but most celebrity and wealthy homes appear to be all about hard lines, right angles, concrete, non porous hard surfaces, and an overall jail-like feeling, lacking any warmth or homey feeling.
That said, if somebody is reading this and wants to give me a free mansion, I'm saying, you know...I don't care what it looks like, sign me up.

Love that Simon he never leaves his women destitute. He's better than a lot of married men that dumps their wives and children and don't even want to support them.He separates the men from the boys.
