Nicollette Sheridan

Gets Retrial in 'Housewives'

Wrongful Termination Case

Nicollette Sheridan
will get another chance to prove she was wrongfully terminated from "Desperate Housewives" -- because a judge has decided to allow a retrial after the previous one ended with a hung jury.

ABC/Disney had asked the judge to dismiss the case based on the evidence that surfaced during trial earlier this year ... but the judge just shot them down.

The judge has set the retrial for September 10 -- but the judge strongly urged both Disney and Nicollette to settle the case. And based on what we know, this case will never be re-tried, because the jury vote in the first trial was 8 - 4 in favor of the actress -- she was one vote shy of getting a verdict ... and Disney is not going to play with that fire a second time around.

It's about time ABC/Disney gets a little of what they so rightly deserve!

I feel that there must be some validity to her claim otherwise she would have dropped it by now. The opposing side has really deep pockets so for her to continue with litigation...that's says a lot.

She should win. You should never be afraid to complain, no matter who you are. I hope you win Nicollette.

She looks good for her age.

She might be even better off by having had the hung jury and then settling out of court b/c I fear if she had won, the defendants may have appealed and delayed the matter another year or two in the courts. Now she may get a somewhat smaller amount, but it will save her thousands in legal fees for a re-trial and possible appeal even if she wins the re-trial, plus she'll see some money much, much sooner.

Hopefully she'll get a huge amount of $. She deserves it, and she better invest it wisely, because no one will hire her now. It's kind of too bad, she's still very attractive and wasted way too much of her prime years with that Michael Bolton idiot. She now should concentratte on hitching up with an older rich man. She looks at times like she's lonely/lost. I reallly feel bad for her.

The county of Los Angeles is already going broke. Does this lawsuit really warrant another trial?

YOU GO GIRL. THIS IS 2012, so we don't have to put up with that krap anymore. When they come talking about a settlement, ask for 100 times that which you would get at trial. Maybe if you hit them in the wallet, they will think twice before pushing women around in the future.

Are you serious? You think a victim should be denied, simply because of a hung jury. I'm sure you would not be so snotty about it if it was happening to you.

P.S. voiceofreason
I doubt that the city of Los Angeles pays for court services. I believe that would be a state authority.
