Dr. Dre says he's THRILLED with the way his Tupac hologram rocked Coachella this weekend ... and tells TMZ he would love to see a Jimi Hendrix-ogram follow Pac's lead.

The hip-hop legend was at Boa steakhouse in Hollywood last night when he told us he's so fired up about the Tupac show, he's breaking out the hologram AGAIN at the next Coachella concert on Sunday ... and he's even thinking about taking Pac on tour.

Dre says he's hopeful the 2pac concert will inspire other artists to resurrect legendary musicians like Jimi Hendrix and Marvin Gaye.

Hell. Yes.

The gangsters in Las Vegas need to hop on this and do a dead singer show. Sinatra and the whole Rat Pack. Elvis. MJ. Cobain. Any dead singer will do. It may be too soon, but even Whitney. They can all do a show ending all star sing off. I love tthe holograms so much, I'd even like to see Chick Hearn come back a do a Laker game.

Sorry this is just scary....it looks cool but I'm afraid of what people will do with this. First it's Tupac, next thing ya know you have full blown Elvis concerts, The Doors Jimi, Janis, Michael Jackson, Johnny Cash, Whitney Houston and Nirvana performing for $1000 a ticket, while these talented performers are actually still dead and buried, and people will rake in the cash for this....I love Dre and Snoop, but this is exploitative at its finest....

While this looks cool, I'm worried about what people like Dre and others will do with this. Elvis, Jimi, Janis, The Doors, Nirvana, Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston and Johnny Cash will all be "performing" in concert at $1000 per ticket, and the real artists are all dead and buried. Exploitation at its finest!

Dre, if you read this, don't over-do it with the holograms. What made the Tupac one so special (and I was squealing with delight!) is that it was a unexpected (to say the least), and happened one-time. When it becomes a regular thing, it loses its excitement.

Allowing thugs to make money off people being dead doesn't seem like such a good idea.

I would love to see a Hendrix hologram on stage as well. A Jim Morrison one would be cool too. Hell, bring back Woodstock.

Rap and hip hop have ruined music by being very little talent needed. madonna and britney lipsynch, because they can't sing live. Now holograms of people who aren't even alive anymore? Here's an idea, learn to play an instrument and write some real songs. Not this jack and jill rhyming with a drum beat behind it. It's alot like the kardashians, no talent needed.
