Lindsay Lohan

Cops Will Send Hit-and-Run

Investigation To D.A.

5/3/2012 12:40 AM PDT BY TMZ STAFF
EXCLUSIVE

Lindsay Lohan
is about to go back to familiar territory -- the L.A. County D.A. -- because we've learned cops are sending the case involving an alleged hit-and-run by the actress to prosecutors.

The manager of the Hookah Lounge on Hollywood Boulevard claims Lindsay was leaving a nearby club March 14 when her car struck him ... and he claims she took off without leaving any info.  Lindsay says the guy is making it all up and her car never came near the guy.

The manager's story is hinky to say the least ... lots of holes.  Nevertheless, we're told the LAPD has completed its investigation and will send the file to the D.A. for review.

Sources close to the investigation tell us, after looking at videos and conducting interviews, there isn't enough evidence to prove a crime, but the D.A. will have the final say.

Based on what we know ... no way will Lindsay be prosecuted ... for this one at least.

In a surprise rebellion, Rouge Warrior's cat, Rim Cat, rolled out from under him, jumped on his back and, in a scene reminiscent of "Deliverance", pounded him through the headboard while making him squeal like a baby pig.
This marks the very first time anybody has been put through the mythical headboard. Rim Cat's only comment was "Meeooww", which roughly translates to "He was tight".

Lindsay Could Be Headed Back to Court

May 03, 2012 at 04:30 am by Emily

Remember that time that Lindsay Lohan hit someone with her car? No, not the time that she clipped a baby in a stroller, I’m talking about the time that she hit a dude while she was leaving a club (completely sober, I’m sure). We haven’t heard anything about it for a hot minute, but it looks like that was just because the police were trying to figure out how to proceed, if it all. They finally made the decision to hand the case over to the D.A. Awesome.

From TMZ:

Lindsay Lohan is about to go back to familiar territory — the L.A. County D.A. — because we’ve learned cops are sending the case involving an alleged hit-and-run by the actress to prosecutors.

The manager of the Hookah Lounge on Hollywood Boulevard claims Lindsay was leaving a nearby club March 14 when her car struck him … and he claims she took off without leaving any info. Lindsay says the guy is making it all up and her car never came near the guy.

The manager’s story is hinky to say the least … lots of holes. Nevertheless, we’re told the LAPD has completed its investigation and will send the file to the D.A. for review.

Sources close to the investigation tell us, after looking at videos and conducting interviews, there isn’t enough evidence to prove a crime, but the D.A. will have the final say.

Based on what we know … no way will Lindsay be prosecuted … for this one at least.

By the way, we’ve often heard that TMZ tends to be a Lindsay apologist, but the facts are there: “cops are sending the case involving an alleged hit-and-run by the actress to prosecutors.” And I think this could just possibly be another courtroom adventure for our dear Lindsay. Is the world ready for this?

I am ok with the new format. Lots of nothing to the sides of the comments is odd. Seems to load faster but Harvey should allowed for pictures. THAT would be stellar.

Mornin guys,

Why can't they do both cases from the clubs at the same time. Double the pleasure double the fun and save the tax payers money. If you don't get her on one get her on the other. It's a win win situation.

Lindsay i believe has short term memory and selective memory for that matter, she forgets who she has run over (pun intended) to make her big come back.

Great unbiased reporting, TMZ. His story is full of holes and honest Lindsay's is solid as a rock. Pfft.

And I think I speak for many when I say that I would rather you got rid of the spammers than do another crappy, cluttered, barely functional redesign.

Good Morning,
It's Walmark Day as Sammy says.......So after dragging their feet almost mos they finely get to turning it over to the DA and contrary to TMZ high handed opinion theres not enough evidence ...the cops would not even waste the DA time unless they had enough evidence to form a case...cause according to all of you LA Cops are slammed with cases so they wouldn't even waste a minute IF they didn't have enough evidence...which means Lohan Inc is going have to dig down inside the moneymans pockets for some more bribe money and donations to police retirement funds and they still have the assault case to bring against her which shows 3 eye witnesses and a tape proving she was lying so thats two...
Now you know why she headed for NYC instead of back to LA she had a heads up last week to "Get the Hell Out of Town".... So brace yourself for a New round of Good Lindsay Stories and TMZ usual .."She is and She isn't Stories" you just knew were this was headed.....LOL

Three Lohans, father and two daughters, who the authorities say played key roles in a major cocaine trafficking ring that has been operating on both coasts for about two years have become the first to be indicted in Los Angeles under California State’s two-year-old law known as the kingpin statute, the district attorney announced Wednesday evening.

Cash, guns and jewelry taken from an alleged cocaine trafficking ring, at the Los Angeles district attorney’s office on Tuesday.

The provision was established in 2010 during an overhaul of the Brown drug laws. While the changes in the laws lessened penalties for several offenses, they also lengthened sentences for those deemed to be major drug distributors.

The law was first applied in the city last year, in a case brought by the Office of the Special Narcotics Prosecutor against a violent drug organization in Compton.

The family indicted in Los Angeles — Michael Lohan, Lindsay Lohan and Ali Lohan — would face sentences of up to life in prison if convicted, the district attorney, Steve Coaley, said.

“Although the existence of this illegal and covert business was known for years to the community and law enforcement as one of the nation’s major drug organizations, its structure was so insulated that they became virtually untouchable,” Mr. Coaley said during an evening news conference in his office.

A break in the case came about a year ago, Mr. Coaley said, allowing prosecutors to obtain warrants for wiretaps. Eventually, undercover police officers bought bags of cocaine from dealers said to be part of the drug ring.

Mr. Coaley said the operation netted close to $2 million per year and included both wholesale and retail components, replete with employees who acted as “traveling salesmen,” drove “company cars” and handed out business cards for a cocaine delivery service that went by the name Crackho’s Inc.

A table Mr. Coaley displayed held items seized during a late night raid at the Chateau Marmont. There were stacks of $20 and $100 bills totaling $500,000. There were silver coins, thick gold chains, a diamond-encrusted crucifix and Rolex watches. And there were firearms, including a .357 revolver and a silver two-shot derringer.

Also shown was an object that a police inspector, Lori Pollock, said was found on Mr. Lohan’s nightstand when officers arrested him: a still frame from the 1983 remake of the movie “Scarface” that had been altered to superimpose Mr. Lohan’s face over that of Al Pacino, who portrayed a notorious drug dealer named Tony Montana in the film.

“He’s very proud of what he’s doing, obviously,” the inspector said of Mr. Lohan. “He’s quite arrogant and narcissistic.”

Additional arrests will be announced.
