Parents Org. to 'AGT' Sponsors

Don't Waste Ad $$$

on 'Vulgar' Howard Stern

5/7/2012 5:00 AM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

0506_howard_stern_ptp_logo_gettyThe Parents Television Council is seething with anger over Howard Stern's new gig on "America's Got Talent" ... so they fired off a scathing letter to ALL the show's sponsors, threatening them to cut ties or face their wrath.

TMZ obtained a letter -- written by the PTC -- that was sent to a whopping 91 advertisers and commands them NOT to invest their millions with NBC's tent-pole talent show ... because they feel Howard Stern will corrupt America's children with his provocative ways.

In the letter, PTC cites Stern's violent and crude language as reasons to boycott the show, quoting his comments on former "American Idol" winner Fantasia Barrino: "Hey Fantasia, you’re not getting little boys hard. Nobody’s beating off to you. Little boys want boners. They want a Britney Spears or a Rihanna."

The PTC blasts Stern's talent-judging qualifications -- saying he's only an expert at "looking at insecure, naked young women and telling them whether or not they were hot enough to pose for Playboy."

PTC's threats can't be taken too lightly ... the advocacy group targeted MTV's "Skins" and NBC's "The Playboy Club" ... and BOTH were later cancelled -- though neither of them drew the ratings of 'AGT.'

If advertisers choose to cut ties with AGT ...  it could mean MILLIONS of dollars lost for NBC.

So we gotta ask:

Howard Stern's potty mouth is not fit for TV
We won't buy products on his show you'll see,
We will rise to the task for all of our kids
Back to his low-life Howard should skid.

Skins and Playboy Club were killed because ratings were so horrible. If every show the PTC whined about got canceled then the only thing on TV would be a test pattern.

They think Mel Gibson has a nasty mouth. LOL Mel might yell, but one thing is for sure, Mel made his money the right way.
This man is one ugly piece of dog mess that I have ever seen.

These organizations are pathetic. It's really simple... If you DON"T want your children watching the show, DON"T let them. Instead they want to bully advertisers into pulling commercials. If I were the face of one of the advertisers, I'd call a press conference to tell them to **** off, and that we cannot be bullied. These sorry, insecure organizations stand, and speak for less than 1% of viewers. These organizations can't wipe the **** off Hawards ass, much less get him off of TV.

Attention universe: the PTC is like six people in Florida, and they use Howard to draw attention and donations to themselves. Talk about riding a successful person's coattails! PTC, crazy like a fox! Complaining about Howard but honestly, no one knows them, so they have to squawk loudly about him to get anyone to pay attention to them. At the end of the day they don't give a s*&t about Howard: all they want is money. GO HOWARD! Rock it on TV this week, buddy! Future AGT watcher right here. Bababooey to you all! Fafa foe-hi.

I would like to see Howard Stern get a medical condition that would prevent him from speaking at all, because he is corrupting the culture with vulgarity and abuse, just so he can get outrageousness money. Putting him on prime time television is corrupting the youth culture, and then you blame the youth culture for being barbaric. It's not rocket science.

I don't like Howard Stern, but I am sick to death of all these threats from these groups, get a life!! Don't watch the damn show! Further more, it's none of their business what people watch, read, eat, etc.!!! Stern has a right to make money like anyone else.

Let's get real here! PTC is using Fantasia "home wrecker and pregnant out of wedlock" Barino as their subject?

At least Howard Stern Is honest and has an opinion. He is intelligent, and knows how to turn down the act for family tv.

Give the man a chance to do the job he was hired to do and get a life PTC!!

Isn't the PTC the organization that condemned wrestling for using drugs and being vulgar, but then promoted a bunch of soap operas containing graphic drug use, alcohol abuse, rape, incest, pedophilia, bestiality, child abuse, domestic violence, and almost every other criminal activity as being family appropriate viewing material?

Its a free country; (well at least for now0; Watch the show; if you're offended write the sponsers and tell them you won't buy their products. if you don't mind watching the ugly pig; fine go for it. He can't be much worse than Osborne.

I used to be one of his biggest fans until the late 90s (early 2000s or so), but the whole idea of organizations getting outraged over him is so obsolete!

Bunch of whiny babies!

My question is: What can Howard Stern bring to a show about singing and music? Judging singing alone is a lot to listen to. Let alone music. I hope he has a strong background on this subject, otherwise, I don't think he's going to make it!

I hope Howard Stern reads all these comments. I'm sure he will have a good laugh!
