Hours after a report surfaced in which Manny Pacquiao allegedly insinuated that all gay people should be put to death ... the boxer rolled over to his L.A. gym ... where he was SWARMED by adoring fans.

Manny ignited a media firestorm yesterday over an interview with National Conservative Examiner. Manny was asked about Obama's stance on gay marriage ... and the report made it seem as though he referenced Leviticus 20:13.

"If a man lies with a man as one lies with a woman, both of them have done what is detestable. They must be put to death; their blood will be on their own heads."

After the report surfaced, Manny was reportedly banned from The Grove in L.A. -- where he was supposed to do an interview with Mario Lopez from "Extra."

Instead, Manny hit the gym ... cheered on by his fans.

A rep for "Extra" tells us the interview has been rescheduled to a different location.

So, we gotta ask ...

People use the bible as a way to justify almost anything and patently ignore the rest. For example, Leviticus in today's world is a total nut job. Not only did he pull the idea of a man laying with another man as an abomination, I'm sure he would have said the same thing if it occurred to him women might be laying with each other. He also commanded the following things which people never mention anymore. I don't think you can pick one thing over the other and feel so righteous:

Leviticus 25:44 states that I may possess slaves, both male and female, provided they are purchased from neighboring nations.

Men are allowed no contact with a woman while she is in her period of menstrual uncleanliness - Lev.15: 19-24.

Burning a bull on the altar as a sacrifice creates a pleasing odor for the Lord - Lev.1:9.

Working on the Sabbath (Exodus 35:2) clearly states any person working on that day should be put to death.

Eating shellfish is an abomination - Lev. 11:10.

Lev. 21:20 states that no one may not approach the altar of God if they have a defect in my sight.

Trimming hair, including hair around their temples, is expressly forbidden by Lev. 19:27.

Lev.19:19 states that planting two different crops in the same field is forbidden. Wearing garments made of two different kinds of thread, also forbidden.

The Bible also says in Psalms 11:19 "anyone loving violence God hates", hence his occupation in itself makes him an oxyMORON. Shame on him to judge and incite hate crimes.

Hope this clear things up. Its that Crab Filipino writer Ampong that mixed it up and Manny did not said that Bible quote

Then he backtracked when he knew he is on a deep hole.

Ugh, I don't feel like arguing about this again. So I'll keep it light.

Levititcus didn't say anything against lesbians, just gay men.

Typical man....gay men no, lesbians okay. lol

And to loosly quote The Simpsons "If we fallowed everything in the bible, technically we wouldn't be allowed to go to the bathrooom"

Although I strongly disagree with him, he does have the right to beleive what he wants as long as he isn't going out trying to hurt a gay person.

i think it's hilarious when people quote leviticus regarding gays. hey manny - are those clothes you're wearing made form two different types of cloth? because leviticus says that's evil too.

Manny's just expressing his personal beliefs.

This isn't about not having compassion or being a homophobe!!!!!!!!!!! It's about someone with a differing opinion and that someone (unless they're openly advocating violence against gay couples) should be given the same respect as someone in favor of gay marriage. Stop demonizing anyone who has the nerve to say they don't support gay marriage.

If being gay is not a problem why do people have to hide it? Manny is not a hater of gays but have his own opinion and believes like Obama and Jay Z. Why he ought to be ashamed TMZ?
