Ray J

Whaddya Know ... I Found

Missing Death Room Duds

5/30/2012 7:30 AM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

How convenient ... just hours before TMZ posted a story about a stylist suing Ray J over designer clothes that went missing from Whitney Houston's death room in February, the singer found them.

We posted it a few hours ago -- Ray J's being sued by an L.A. stylist named Marc Littlejohn, who claims he gave Ray J $2,880 in designer threads for a Grammy event ... and they were never returned. According to the lawsuit, they were left in the Beverly Hilton hotel room where Whitney died and haven't been seen since.

But now Ray J's rep tells TMZ the mystery was solved last night when one of Whitney's associates handed the clothes over to the singer. Sources tell us the items were taken from Whitney's room along with the rest of her belongings. We're told Whit's people couldn't get in touch with Ray J because he changed his phone number.

The pricey fabrics include two suits and one jacket.

We're told Ray will be reaching out to the stylist today to settle the pesky legal matter.

girl unimpressed

right, it was a scam, because the sudden death of a loved one doesn't make you forget unimportant ****, like a couple of ugly suits? you people must have lead very charmed lives to have never gone thru' such a shocking and sad event.

BS they were all at an award show all together making a scene about him setting next to the family you can't tell me they couldn't get the clothes back where they belong.

Uh. Who Cares?! Whitney was a grown azz woman who made her own decisions. Ray J was along for the ride, as he has nothing but his sister's fame to cling to. I agree with Cricket, let Whitney rest in peace. Why prolong the 15 minutes of fame?!

There are enough reasons to dislike him with having to blow things out of the water. The article says the clothes were taken from the room ALONG WITH Whitney's belonging when she died, and were in the possession of HER people... so how exactly does that make him a scammer and a thief? And him changing his number seems like an excuse to me since he and her camp were just sitting next to each other at the Billboard awards last month... they knew how to get a hold of him. But he's also a grown man and knew he had clothes on loan, so he should have made sure they got back to the designer to cover his own tail.

My 2 Cents

This is not the first time a stylist has had this problem, I know a stylist in Atlanta that furnished clothes for him and his dad and had to beg and plead them to get paid for his services and to get the clothes back
