Diddy's son might be the RKOC (richest kid on campus) ... but Justin Combs' fellow UCLA student-athletes say daddy big bucks shouldn't have to pay a dime -- because Justin earned his scholarship fair and square.

Diddy's been slammed since it was announced this week his son is getting a full-ride scholarship -- $54,000 worth -- to play football at UCLA. The criticism is that Diddy should foot the bill himself ... leaving the scholarship available for a more needy student-athlete.

However, multiple student-athletes -- some on scholarship, some off -- tell TMZ Diddy's millions are a non-factor because, "If you're good enough to play football that you're getting recruited, it doesn’t matter how much your parents are making."

Another student -- a junior volleyball player -- said Justin "should be able to get [the scholarship] if he's qualified. If he's good enough on field ... I don’t think what his father does should play a role."

Of course, a high school senior struggling to get into college might feel differently.

This scholorship was not earned it is all about Daddy Diddy the city wants a NFL team so UCLA gave him a football scholorship in hopes Daddy Diddy will put together a group to finance a NFL team. It had nothing to do with his son his grade point average being as good as it is, is not good enough for enrollment at UCLA let alone a full ride scholorship.

All these racist white bitchez on here talking like there aren't 100x more rich white people in college on full scholarships then black! Y'all can eat dick for all I care...

So many people talking like Justin's father, Diddy, doesnt donate millions every year to various organizations yet the rich black man has to donate more of his hard earned money to please you white people! He saved a Harlem Boys & Gurls club this year and donated a million to my local boys and girls club but you don't hear **** about! #CRYMORE

A high school kid trying to get into college would think differently.... PLEASE!!! Then go out and earn it as Diddy's kid did. Just because he is a rich boy doesn't mean he wants to live off his dad... He worked hard for that scholarship so stop making an issue of it because his dad is rich. Everyone feels entitled for things and don't want to work for it..

I think people forget that the original purpose of the scholarship, whether it is merit or athletic, was to allow students to get a college degree WHEN THEY HAD NO OTHER MEANS OF PAYING FOR IT. That was the way it used to be. There are a limited # of these and I'm positive there's one less for somone else.

UM, DONATE THE $54,000 TO A STUDENT THAT TRULY NEEDS THE ASSISTANCE, ESPECIALLY IN THIS ECONOMY. P-DIDDY SURELY CAN SUPPORT HIS OFF SPRING 1000 TIMES OVER. UCLA, WHAT A DISGRACE, SHAME ON YOU.

No one's questioning whether his son deserves recognition - only that he's not financially in need of a scholarship. Its unfortunate someone who also deserves to go to college can't because they can't afford it - but someone whose very rich and can afford it is getting a free ride.

So you say Justin is trying to be independent by taking a scholarship? Well, if he's so darn independent, tell Diddy to cut off his allowance, he is 18 now, and take back the Maybach, and buy your own clothes. But, oh yes, KEEP THE SCHOLARSHIP! Sorry, 3.75 doesn't get you a scholarship to a decent school.

And to the Buffoons that keep reiterating that it's not tax payers dollars paying for it, SHUT UP ALREADY, that's not what most folks are pissy about. It's the fact that Justin is getting this scholarship because his dad, being present at games, is going to sell tickets & concession sales, create more interest in the school and the sports team, etc...

Do you understand now??? Which means it is a GRATUITOUS scholarship. I wonder if Justin knows this, or if his ego is like his dad's, he probably just thinks he's one heck of a football player, haha. Smile Justin, pat yourself on the back, and go for a ride in the Maybach. You deserve everything you have....

It is not true, Students did niot get full grands if the parents are making money, ok, every single penny count aganst you. So, somebody is wrong here. Diddy should pay his son account. I am very dissapointed. A lot kid out there are struggling to get a full grand to study. And you are telling me , because his talent. wrong! It is because his last name. Students here in the poor world are taking loans to pay their college. They are getting in debt. they are working at Wallmart , Target, Macdonals and they go to college aaand they do not get a full grant. I called this BS a fraud.

Scholarships are to help those to go to college who would otherwise not have the chance. This kid shouldn't have even applied for a scholarship. It's taking away money to help someone who actually needs it. Yes he did earn it with his good grades but that doesn't make it right that he took it.
