Keep Your Millions

Justin Earned Scholarship

Diddy's son might be the RKOC (richest kid on campus) ... but Justin Combs' fellow UCLA student-athletes say daddy big bucks shouldn't have to pay a dime -- because Justin earned his scholarship fair and square.

Diddy's been slammed since it was announced this week his son is getting a full-ride scholarship -- $54,000 worth -- to play football at UCLA. The criticism is that Diddy should foot the bill himself ... leaving the scholarship available for a more needy student-athlete.

However, multiple student-athletes -- some on scholarship, some off -- tell TMZ Diddy's millions are a non-factor because, "If you're good enough to play football that you're getting recruited, it doesn’t matter how much your parents are making."

Another student -- a junior volleyball player -- said Justin "should be able to get [the scholarship] if he's qualified. If he's good enough on field ... I don’t think what his father does should play a role."

Of course, a high school senior struggling to get into college might feel differently.

I think it's great that his son earned this and he should get to keep it. I do however feel that his father, P Diddy, should take whatever money he would have spent on his sons college, tuition, room and board, books, etc., and endow a bunch of scholarships for less fortunate children. He has the money and I am of the opinion that anyone who has the money should be as charitable as they can be. This is a perfect opportunity for him to do that. His son should get to keep the honor that he earned, a full ride is not easy to earn in any way. At the same time they could really make a difference in the lives of other kids who are struggling to find a way to pay for their education...

Asking anther athlete is like asking someone who has just won the lottery to give it back, I expect the boy to do the same, that’s cool though, Karma... (p.s. that family should look in to what people in California do to stars they don’t like)… we are not considered ass holes for no reason you know… kid will be on his way home with his tail between his legs in no time… and you can hate this comment all you want that doesn’t change reality…

Total B S.....Diddy should be happy to pay for his son's college, and be very thankful that he has the means to do so. Jus goes to show how greedy evil and backwards ppl are becoming. There are kids that desperately need a scholarship, and probably much more deserving and what actually appreciate it......who's parent's would love to pay for their kids' college, but just cant afford.....celebrities are soooo far removed from reality and what people are actually going through in the REAL world!!!!!

It's immoral to take scholarship money when you don't need it. My husband's mother wouldn't let him accept scholarships or grants for college bc she could pay for it. And she wasn't very rich & she's even a republican! If he takes scholarship $, someone who needs it can't go to school. Depraved.

OMG at some of you! Who the hell are you to tell anyone what they should do with their money? Stop stalking Diddy's pockets and let that man live. He was not always rich. And give Justin credit. They do not just hand out scholarships to the rich just because they are rich.
And if you had just an extra $5000 after bills I am sure you would splurge as well. Freaking hypocrites. Work hard and earn your money, then you will understand why wealthy people get bigger and better things.

BTW - When was the last time you heard of someone not getting into a school because the school was out of scholarship funds?

I think its greedy to take it. If Justin is being supported by his dad its greedy. Hes taking money away from kids who could really use it. Whether or not he deserved it is not this issue. This just goes to show you how careless this kid is. I think he should just not accept it and pay for school.

Please, people need to chill with that crap. Rich white folk's kids have been going to school on scholarship and ain't nobody said a darn thing. Why? Because it is not made public. When someone black does the same thing, then there is an issue. Dude earned his scholarship through hard work studying and playing football and deserves it. If some of the poorer children's parents will help them to study and keep their grades up, maybe they could get a shcolarship too. Black folk you need to hush it right up and not join in on this hate. I say go Justin. Hell, am I not supposed to go on vacation because my neighbor lost his job??? I don't think so.
