Kardashian Sisters

We're Not Shameless

Snake Oil Peddlers!!!

6/9/2012 5:30 AM PDT BY TMZ STAFF
EXCLUSIVE

0606_quick_trim_kardashian
The Kardashian sisters did NOT sell bogus diet pills to millions of gullible consumers ... they just coaxed 'em into buying them -- this according to new legal docs, obtained by TMZ.

Kim, Kourtney, and Khloe Kardashian just filed their response to a $5 million lawsuit that accuses them of peddling lies to the public about the diet pill QuickTrim. The product's main ingredient is caffeine, which the FDA has decided is not an effective weight-loss drug.

But Kim & Ko. are now firing back -- claiming they're NOT the sellers of QuickTrim, they're just the pretty faces promoting the product ... so they shouldn't be held responsible for QuickTrim's lies.

The sisters claim there's currently no law that holds spokespeople accountable for false advertising -- and it should stay that way.

The Kardashians want their names dropped from the lawsuit.

I'm by no means a fan of either, but I tend to agree with them. Hold the people who produced the drug and those who were responsible for the marketing strategies responsible.

Of course they should be held somewhat responsible.....you are putting your face and body (even though it is ridiculously photoshopped) on a product. If you don't stand behind the product you are endorsing, then yeah you are "shameless
snake oil peddlers".

Bitches! They can afford that money thanks to Kim K's sextape becoming public and all the fame that followed after that..why not pay up?

they have changed the laws recently and i think they can held responsible if it can be true they knew the product didn't work and they kept endorsing - then they are part of deceptive advertising - they shpuldn't be so arrogant about their fans spending millions of dollars on a product that didn't work - hopefully this will bite them in the ass

Hey, they promoted a product, they endorsed the product. They received payment from the manufacturer. In the publics eye they stood behind its claims. if i'm on the jury, they are guilty. These "girls", will accept cash from anyone without looking doing any research of their own. They are quick to sue people, but when karma comes back at them, oh, its not their fault. all products with their name and photos on them are suspect. even their new cosmetic line. beware!

Really....they were on a morning show claiming they had everything to do with it, just youtube Kardashian and quick trim....Kim said it out of her own mouth that she has a stake in the product.

This proves that the Kardishian's will do anything for money......they don't care about animals killed for them to wear fur products or the health or safety of their fans. They only care about themselves and getting publicity. The buck stops there.

BS! "Spokespeople" should be accountable for false advertising! They claimed to have used the product for dieting and "love" it, but obviously, they did not use it. If either of them look like that without photoshop (also false advertising!), then I give away free golden eggs from a goose that I keep locked-up at an undisclosed location.

Kim is a classless sex tape whore that wants to be known as a business person. She wants everyone to forget about that sex tape that made her the career she has now. Just like she was shameless enough to do that for fame she is shameless enough to false advertise. In other words kim thinks her fans are stupid enough to keep buying everything she endorses just because her botoxed face and airbrushed and photoshoped larger body is on it
