I'm FIGHTING Health Fine!!!

The owner of the salon where Tanning Mom allegedly scorched her 5-year-old's skin plans to fight $5,200 in fines levied by the local health department -- TMZ has learned.

The Department of Health and Senior Services in Nutley, NJ announced today ... it's fining City Tropics Tanning for violations including consumer overexposure and misusing sunlamp equipment.

According to the health department, inspectors discovered the salon's customers were exceeding the legal weekly limit for UV exposure.

But City Tropics owner Anthony Ruccatano tells TMZ he's refusing to pay -- and wants to take the health department to court over the fine.

Ruccatano insists his business never broke the law and wants a judge to dismiss the fine entirely.

Calls to the health department weren't returned.

Went to a tanning salon in my 20's for a spot of psoriasis on my elbow, owner lady set it for 20 minutes...turns out 20 mins on white skin for a first-time...ain't good.
I looked like a frickin' lobster and couldn't move for a week without groaning like a bear :D
Patricia isn't guilty of child abuse, even if she brought daughter along.
Want to see real child abuse visit websites like The Weekly Vice...or just read up on Casey Anthony.

So, indoor tanning is dangerous and the wheel is round. No new news here. I think the Dept. of Health needs to stay out of this one. Just have customers sign waivers that they know the risks involved. That way, dumbasses can still slowly kill themselves and can't turn around and sue the salons when they get sick.

She looks hideous there's no argueing that. But a limit on tanning? What's next, a limit on how many burgers someone can order through the drive-thru, so they don't get too fat? Adults should be able to make their own decisions no matter how stupid they might be.

I wonder if he'll call the talking piece of luggage to the stand as exhibit A? That is, if he can get her off crack long enough to be lucid.

whataya know, this igmotard has a purpose in life. to direct attention to the lack of sun lamp exposure regulations that probably were not being enforced, since the beginning.

I agree with him - sure this woman is 100% bonkers and looks hideous which makes for a good media story, but there's no evidence any laws were ever broken on anyone's part.
