NY Knicks

Courting the Hell Outta Jeremy Lin

6/25/2012 6:35 AM PDT BY TMZ STAFF
EXCLUSIVE

0625_lin

The New York Knicks put on a full court press this weekend to kiss the ass of their #1 free agent -- Jeremy Lin -- with Coach Mike Woodson wining and dining the point guard at a fancy Beverly Hills steakhouse ... and TMZ has the footage.

Woodson -- who just took over the team at the end of regular season -- seemed pretty chummy with Jeremy as the two exited Mastro's Steakhouse in Beverly Hills ... one of the best (and most expensive) restaurants in town.

But Woodson didn't come alone -- Knicks stars Carmelo Anthony and Tyson Chandler joined the two for dinner.

Lin -- who broke out as a superstar last year -- becomes a free agent in just a couple of weeks ... and Woodson has already announced that he wants Jeremy to be his starting point guard next season.

So what does it mean for Lin? Money ... lots and lots of money ... and steak.

The Knicks should give him $20,000,001 annually! Extra penny for good measure. That way they can continue to suck like they have for the past 15+ years. The Miami Heat own the soul of every Knick player, employee, and fan, bank it!

How in the hell did he “break out as a superstar”?? Because the Knicks didn’t really go anywhere this year. They barely made it to the playoffs! Yeah, better throw gobs of money at him so they can have another mediocre season and be left in the dust by the Heat.

TMZ, stop letting the morons post without being notified when someone replies to their ignorant comment. More than likely they already know they have nothing going for them but it would speed up the process if they knew everyone hated them. Thank you and please implement the changes

A so so PG with as many turnovers as assists. Money wise, giving him 2 million wiki be great for the salary cap and luxury tax.

Good for Jeremy. Like the OKC boys, he's young and has a real good foundation to work with. He's going to turn into something big for them.

I don't fallow basketball to much. But he should go with the Nuggets. If for no other reason to annoy Carmello and make me giggle.

So an Asian plays well for a few weeks and all of a sudden hes a superstar? A black or white guy does the same thing and they are just considered being on a "hot streak" or an "asset to the team"... lol.
