Gov. Chris Christie

Fightin' Words

On the Jersey Shore

7/6/2012 10:30 AM PDT BY TMZ STAFF
EXCLUSIVE

0_2yjedc81_0_7ipzit1lThings got downright HOSTILE on the Jersey Shore last night -- with NJ Governor Chris Christie getting into a heated verbal altercation right on the boardwalk ... and it was all caught on tape.

Gov. Christie (R-NJ) was hangin' with his family in Seaside Heights ... and had just ordered an ice cream cone when a passerby fired off some snide comments about Christie's policy on education.

Christie got PISSED -- and while clutching his cone, shouted back at the guy, "You're a real big shot ... you're a real big shot shootin' your mouth off."

The man shouted back, "Nah, just take care of the teachers!"

The comment only inflamed Christie ... who aggressively marched towards the guy and warned, "Keep walkin' away ... really good ... keep walkin'."

Soon after, someone in Christie's party put his arm around the 49-year-old and escorted him in the other direction.

FYI -- Christie, one of the prime contenders for the Republican Vice Presidential nomination, has recently signed legislation expanding public funding for charter schools ... a decision that has infuriated some who would prefer the money go towards struggling public schools.

Christie's temper has been making headlines after he called a reporter "stupid" and an "idiot" on Saturday for asking off-topic questions at a news conference.

Christie's camp had no comment on the story.

Clearly, belly-boy thought someone was going to take his ice cream away. What an obnoxious load this guy is. Please Mitt Romney, please pick this heart-attack-waiting-to-happen as your running mate so we can all watch him go non-linear at the slightest provocation.

Only NJ would elect a guy that can drop dead at any moment from heart attack....good planning as usual.....as GC said - NJ - the garden state? What are they growing? Smoke stacks?

Sounds like he needs anger management. You reckon Charlie Sheen has room in his group?

TMZ and MSNBC hand in hand. You know the liberals are getting nervous when TMZ starts doing political news stories and disguising them as Jersey Shore news.

No class. That was a constituent he was speaking to, wether he agreed with him or not. Absolutely no control over his anger, and no talent or desire for diplomacy. A self-indulgent hothead with no business serving in the people's house.

I thought TMZ was all about celebrity news and not politics? Yup, the liberal media from Hollywood is at it again. And it sounds like a lot of you folks from the left that preach "tolerance" sure are making fun of his weight.

Like throwing more money at public schools has EVER solved ANYTHING. New Jersey has one of the highest per-student costs already, and throwing MORE money down the public school rathole is going to solve ... what, exactly? Solve the problem of OVERPAID teachers and administrators, yeah, I said it, taking their Cabos San Lucas vacations this Summer?

(And don't go throwin' that woefully outdated "poorly paid teachers" stereotype at me if you don't go look up what they get, including benefits, and compare that to what the rest of us ACTUAL po' folk make ...)

Teachers are not victims, not underpaid, not overworked.
Teachers have it made.
Teachers make excellent pay.
Teachers get excellent medical benefits.
Teachers get paid personal vacation time.
Teachers have ample bonus and stipend ops.
Teachers are treated generously by union rules.
Teachers have tenure...no matter how bad they are.
Teachers follow curriculum these days and don't spend their nights, or summers, arranging class lessons anymore.
Teachers get every president's birthday off.
Teachers get every holiday off.
Teachers get several additional days off that most people don't.
Teachers do *not* work harder than most of the population.
Teachers do *not* have to put up with anymore smart mouth from kids than most people put up with in customer service jobs with adults.
Teachers get 2-3 weeks paid vacation for Christmas.
Teachers get 1-2 weeks paid Spring break for Easter.
Teachers are salaried and get off at 3-4pm.
-
And teachers get something that most people would give their eye teeth for...all Summer off
Three months every year, off, all Summer and every Summer.
-
Teachers have absolutely nothing to complain about ;)
