Justin Bieber

L.A. Councilman Says

Arrest His Ass!

7/6/2012 1:22 PM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

Justin Bieber
just got cited for speeding on the freeway, and the witness who called 911 -- who happens to be an L.A. City Councilman -- tells TMZ, Bieber should have been cuffed, locked up, and stripped of his driving privileges.

L.A. City Councilman Dennis Zine -- who ironically was an LAPD motor officer for 18 years -- was on the 101 Freeway when he saw Justin in his chrome Fisker Karma roaring down the freeway at speeds that Zine says exceeded 100 mph.

Zine tells us ... Bieber was trying to shake a team of paparazzi (NOT TMZ) that was on his tail.

Zine says, "Bieber was driving like a maniac. He was weaving in and out of traffic. There was hardly any space between cars as he weaved from lane to lane."

Zine says, "If I was on patrol, I would have arrested him for reckless driving. I was going 60 and he drove by me like he was in a rocket ship. He was a maniac." Zine called in to "TMZ Live" moments ago to explain exactly why he thinks Bieber belongs behind bars.

070612_zine_tmzlive_v2_launchZine also says the paparazzi were incredibly irresponsible, driving on the shoulder of the freeway and causing an extreme hazard. After he was pulled over, at least 4 paps were swarming Bieb's car.

070612_bieber_ticket_v2_launchBieber's manager, Scooter Braun, tells TMZ, Zine "is just a councilman looking for a headline."  Braun says Justin was cited for going 80 mph and he was being chased by the paparazzi. Braun adds a short time after getting ticketed, the paparazzi resumed their pursuit and Justin called 911.

Law enforcement sources tell us, after Bieber called 911, police caught up to his car and pulled him over again ... along with the paparazzi following him. We're told the cops warned the paparazzi to behave themselves, and everyone was sent on their way.

Law enforcement sources tell us ... the CHP is investigating the paparazzi for creating a hazardous situation.

Beiber is so conceited it's sickening. What's going to happen when this high of being on top of the world comes to a screeching halt in a few years. Anyone know of any other ways most child celebrities find a simulation high when they get older and the fame runs out? hehe

I hope Justin pulls a Ryan Dunn very soon.

It's past time that LA county arrested the paps for reckless endangerment. They block vehicles from pulling out on city streets, and drive dangerously trying to get photpgraphs. I'm surprised that another Princes Diana moment hasn't accured. Still, a chrome car is ridiculas. Maybe the Bieb should concentrate on the quality of his music instead of the hype.

"Braun says Justin was cited for going 80 mph and he was being chased by the paparazzi."

Look, we all know the paparazzi's game follow celebrities. Driving faster in traffic to avoid them breaks the law. If Beiber doesn't like it...then do something legal...don't put other's lives in danger because you feel your space in invaded. It comes with the territory.

In California...going 15 mph over any posted speed limit they can arrest you. Feel lucky they didn't, Canadian BOY! While you're in America...obey the road rules or go the f*ck back to Canada!

I just love how TMZ wants to point out it wasn't one of their paparazzis chasing Bieber but then add that their is video to come. They will be buying the video from the paps who were chasing him down the freeway so what is the damn difference? It may not have been TMZ's paps that chased Lady Diana to her death but I'll bet they would have been happy to supply the video. TMZ is just as guilty for buying the video as the people who were involved in the chase if something would have happened and someone was seriously hurt.

How can the paparazzi always be "not TMZ" or "not our guys" and yet TMZ always still seems to have the video. Sounds like bull**** semantics to me.

They are all at fault, but Bieber is especially so. That kid is either dumb as a pile of rocks or is so arrogant that he thinks it is cool to pull something like that. If you drive around in a car like that you are going to get noticed, at lot. If you are a teen heart throb known all over the world and everyone knows you own that car, then it is like screaming "Look at me!!!" when you drive it. He should have been at least sited for reckless driving, along with the papps and his parents should have put him in time out.

ignorant repeaters

I would just like to know why any of you guys care about this stuff. Not trying to flame, but to actually understand

If the kid did not want the publicity/attention and the paps, then he should not have purchased the flashiest car on the market!

The only reason they kept chasing him is because if they got him mad enough, they could get their money shot. Seems like it worked. Justin, you're famous. Live with it or GTFOH. No need to be putting someone's lives in danger just because you don't want your picture taken. Especially in a damn chromed out car, that just screams "Hey look, it's (insert name)."

Speed limits are set for the safety of all parties on the road, just because you are a star does not give you the right to endanger other peoples life.

I don't understand how these a$$-hat celebrities always seem to get away with so much. How many drunk driving and speeding tickets will it take before their licenses get yanked?
Can they just do it infinitely and just pay to keep their license?
Last time I checked, nobody is supposed to be exempt from the laws and expectations placed on the rest of us. F @ C K ! N G "1%'ers".
