My Lambo is Being

Held Hostage!

Missy Elliot
insists ... her brand new Lamborghini is being held captive by an Illinois car dealership -- after she paid handsomely for the luxury vehicle -- and now, she's suing to get her ride.

The rapper filed the lawsuit in Florida against Fox Valley Motor Cars, claiming she entered into an agreement with the dealership last year to buy a 2012 Matte White Lambo Aventador (below, in orange) for $376,000.

According to the lawsuit, Missy -- repped by Singh, Singh & Trauben -- agreed to make a down payment that included $30,000 in cash AND her 2005 Bentley (valued at $85,000). In return, Missy claims the dealership agreed to ship her the Lambo by mid 2012 ... but never did.

Missy says she contacted Fox Valley for an explanation -- and was told the terms of the deal had changed because the market value of the car had risen.

According to the lawsuit, Fox Valley refused to deliver the car for the agreed upon sale price -- and demanded way more money in exchange for the vehicle.

But Missy says that's BS -- and now, she's suing Fox Valley for possession of her Lambo, plus damages resulting from the dealership's breach of contract.

Calls to Fox Valley weren't returned.

I would not have walked off the lot without my vehicle. Cannot see giving $30 grand and $85 thousand car to them without something in my possession.

Ridiculous, people take even the time to comment on this: 1 car costs more than they'll ever make in their whole lifetime! ,Would probably stand in line to smell on a fart in a phonebooth!
Ask yourselves; "Does this story affect ME in any way? Anything IN IT for ME?
Remember:
"It's better to BE in a parade than to just watch one!"

Is everybody nowadays either a "Rapper" or a "DJ". Both are "Posers" (deluxe).

What is she going to do, stare at it? Face it, Missy Elliot is considered "thick" - and I'm being kind when I say that. Lamborghini's are not made for "thick" people. Has she even tried to wedge herself into that car yet?
One other thing TMZ, do you really think that someone with way more money than they need and an inflated ego is going to call a Lamborghini a "LAMBO"? LMFAO!!!

You either have the money for the car, or you don't. Don't buy what you can't afford. If you can't go in and pay cash for a car like this, then you don't have the money for it. Don't be a "poser", Missy.

Looks like Missy Elliot is trying to "keep up with the Kardashians". If Kim got her a Lambo then of course she's GOTTA have one too or she's a "nobody". It's like in high school with sneakers and fancy clothes.

These Lambos are designed for people that love to do things like drive fast on twisty roads in the mountains. It's not designed to sit in the garage all the time just so you can show it off to friends if they come over to your house. Jeez. This Lambo is so fast that Missy will probably be afraid to drive it. One little screw up changing gears and this car is flying off the road.

This very similar incident didn't work out well for the dealership in Jones v. The Baran Company 660... S.E. 2d 420 (Ga. Ct. App. 2008)

Textbook case law.

How do these things happen to celebs? Aren't there written contracts when you are dealing with high value items like this? There should be paperwork that clearly spells out whether the price was fixed or whether it was based on market value at time of delivery.

Why is she purchasing a car she can't even drive, it takes diving a sport car like this experience to drive these cars, it like because it looks cool I want one and I can just get up and drive off, this cars has 500 horsepower and up. That's what's wrong with these artist, just like Justin, how many time has he been pull over for driving fast and reckless and Lohan how many times has she crash her Porsche and Mercedes, and when something serious happen to them they also have to blame someone.

Has this Stealership ever heard of a contract? If they signed off on the car for a given price, they cannot raise the price due to "market conditions". If the manufacturer didn't raise the price, which they didn't, the Stealer must sell for the agreed upon price.

"Market conditions", what a farce. Just another excuse for Stealerships to gouge the consumer and charge over MSRP. Even the lowly Ford Stealers are doing it on the GT500. Bunch of crooks. Its all about Supply and Damand until you piss of the customer and they don't demand it anymore. Then you're stuck with it because you were greedy, and you end up selling for under sticker in a year because you're sick and tired of looking at the damn thing.

She doesn't stand a chance of winning. The car is Italian and is priced in euros. If the price to the dealership is changed they're not going to bear the difference in currency fluctuation. She is going to have to step up and make up the difference.
