Sage Stallone

Case Transferred to

Robbery Homicide

7/16/2012 10:44 AM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

The death of Sage Stallone -- Sly's son -- is now in the hands of LAPD Robbery Homicide detectives ... law enforcement sources tell TMZ.

We're told the move in no way suggests foul play. Robbery Homicide handles high-profile cases, and this one qualifies.

Sources tell us ... although it will probably take 4 weeks to get a firm cause of death, it's likely that it will either be classified as an accidental death or death from natural causes.

As we reported, a number of pill bottles were found in Sage's bedroom where he died.

Posting another story about Sage Stallone after posting a story stating his grieving father made the effort of giving you a private picture, asking the stories to stop, asking the public to give he and his family privcacy, and requesting his son be allowed to rest in peace is very disrespectful.

you post a statement from his father saying he wants the media to stop speculating and later in the same day you post more speculation on his death?

well it didn't take long for you guys to completely butcher Sylvester's wishes to for you to STOP the vicious reporting, did it? UGH...I remember how you guys treated your friend, and co-founder of tmz, and how you treat every other death and it's just sad how you play favoritism.

He is lying his ass off since his son was banned from his house. Did not return calls when his son was trying to wish him happy Birthday July 6. Read the story from his Mom's' side of the family

BTW this man went out of his way to BEG you to stop reporting on his son, when he has so many other things to think about, when he has so much on his plate right now and on top of that, he has to think about how badly the media would rip his son's image apart..he BEGGED out of desperation for your MERCY so that he can find peace and try to heal, and you guys sh*t all over his wishes. What a s***my thing to do. >:-(

Good grief TMZ !!!!! Sly nicely requested you back off his son and it looks like you can't. Well, if that's the type of game you play, your karma will be a b**ch!!!

Wait a minute. Didn't I read on TMZ he died of an overdose? Of course that was before the death was formally investigated. And then TMZ published stories that he was obviously on drugs, lived like a hermit, etc all prior to a formal investigation? Guess TMZ was.wrong....again.

The LAPD and OCSO crave media attention more than 100 Kardashians...It's friggen embarassing!

TMZ you are getting tacky at this point. I loved you for a while but now you are no better than the Enquirer or Star mag. Sly asked you nicely to let it go YET YOU STILL find the need to keep stirring the pot. Seriously let it go. He passed and it's sad but give the family some peace.

Leave this poor man alone how would you feel. My heart goes out to the family!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So let me get this strait. Johnny Depp & Vanessa Paradis split, ask the press for privacy, and they get it. Yet Sly's son dies, you do a story about how the family wants the press to back off, and a few hours later you post another story. What's up with that?

I love how Sylvester himself came to you and asked you to respect his son's memory and the last line of the article mentions pills. I'm usually of fan of you guys but really?! Come on now.
