Newt Gingrich
has officially vowed never to use the song "Eye of the Tiger" in ANY of his 2012 campaign materials ever again -- which means a lot ... because his 2012 campaign has already been dead an entire week.

TMZ broke the story ... Newt was sued back in January for using the song in his 2012 campaign (and earlier) without permission. The company that owns the song asked a judge to bar Newt from ever playing it again.

Now, eight months later, and an entire week after Mitt Romney officially crushed Newt's 2012 Presidential hopes by accepting the Republican nomination -- Newt is waving the white flag.

Newt sent a letter to the song owners, writing, "We are very sorry that your song 'Eye of the Tiger' was associated with the 2012 Newt Gingrich campaign."

Newt adds, "We will do our utmost to assure that this does not happen again."

You don't say.

Newt Gingrich use to sell his vote in exchange for multi million dollar book deals (proven fact). He would also betray his best friends, by *********** with their wives. He's a typical politician, through and through.
THIS SHOULD NOT BE A SURPRISE ! ! ! ! ! !

I was all proud when I taught myself Eye of the Tiger on guitar back in my early 20's, even though it's only a one-note lead with three-chords behind it :D
Still, one of the best and most recognizable guitar riffs of all time, still rocks to this day.
And the lyrics kick ass, perfect fit for the Rocky themes, standing up and remaining two-fisted to the end.

I find this ridiculous that the owner of this song chose to file a lawsuit instead of capitalizing on the fact that the song is never heard of anymore accept in the Rocky movies. I think it gave it a new light and could have been a way for the owner to see that the song goes on. I am sure they could have sent Gingrich a letter informing him of the unauthorized use and further action could be taken if it was not halted asap in its future use. But a lawsuit from the get-go... I say, a defense lawyer owns the rights to the song. I better stop listening to it on YouTube or other.
I think the owner of the song, is a JACKASS (A left wing liberal)!
