Disgraced Penn State football coach Joe Paterno will forever be immortalized in a new movie ... and by a really good actor ... because the man who will bring his story to life, is reportedly Al Pacino.

The Academy-Award-winning actor attached himself to the new film -- based on the New York Times Bestselling book "Paterno," according to reports.

The film is still in the early stages of development ... but according to the report the film will be shopped around town early next week.

All we need is a movie glorifying this dead azz ole...he's rotting in hell for the things he concealed...and rightfully so......it was the devil that took his life..not god...cause paterno is now sitting on the right side of Satan!

Have some self-respect Pacino. DON'T DO IT. The guy was a freakin child-molestor enabler.

I agree with #6, everyone's-a-star--it's too soon! Think about the victims, someone please!! And if they do this movie, I hope it isn't just about his football career, but also about the fact that he protected a child molester, so Penn State football could be protected!

Any Given Sunday was a nightmare! The worst football movie ever made, it was like a 3 hour Rap video. Except for Al pacino's speech at the end the rest of the movie was trash. Boy Oliver Stone must have done no research at all, those huddles were like a chat session. Only the QB talks in the huddle, they had so many guys chatting you wonder how they ever got the play called before a delay of game? The casting was great too! who wouldn't believe 44 year old Dennis Quaid, all five foot ten of him could be a pro QB? he was older than half the coaches in the NFL in that film. But Invincible wasn't much better, Hollywood forgot to tell us that Vince Papale played for the WFL's Philadelphia Bell in 1974 and 75 before making the Eagles in 1976. They would have you believe he last played football in high school and made the Eagles at a tryout. The Eagles knew he was coming they had game film of him with the Bell from the two previous seasons. On the DVD commentary Vince Papale makes no mention that he played 2 seasons in the WFL, it's like it never happened. Hollywood always drops the ball with football movies

Can't believe they want to make a film about this mess. Profiting off the victims is sick. I think if the studio wants to go through with it, they should donate all profits to victims of child abuse.
